SmackDown vs Raw 2011 Video Game thread

I have been playing this since last week, its not a bad game. Not much has changed in terms of game play. I enjoy the interference now , as the wrestlers music hits when he is coming out . Its a bit of fun.

Ordered mine off play so hopefully will come tomorrow.
The music hits when a wrestler interferes? sounds cool and would make sense in certain contexts but that rarely ( if ever ) happens in real-life matches. The only time a wrestlers music would hit would be if a brawl happened after a match, or during a match ( ending it by DQ or whatever ) and then a Wrestler's music would hit when they came down to make the save.

Maybe I'm wrong but the only time that springs to mind of music hitting for an interference mid-match is Undertaker returning at Judgment Day 2000 in the Iron Man match.

Still, lookin forward to seeing it in-game

That's strange as there are gameplay videos of SVR 2011 on Youtube and they show wrestlers interferring in matches and their theme songs don't play for them?

Yea, I was thinkin Austin interferences were the exception. Will be pretty cool hearing the glass breaking mid-match in the game. pity there's no JR commentary

Wow, what a weird coincidence, I was just re-watching that match this morning on the RAW 15th Anniversary DVD. I miss the old WWF days

Does anyone know if Xtra-Vision or Gamestop are doing deals with the game?

I remember a few years back Xtra-Vision use to give a free WWE DVD away with the game and Game Stop gave away a free T-Shirt.

I don't think Xtra-vision do the DVD deals anymore. But saying that, they did have a UFC Knockouts DVD with UFC Undisputed 2010, so maybe.

I remember getting the NWO: Back in Black DVD with Smackdown Shut Your Mouth I think it was. And also got a Stone Cold DVD and a Survivor Series 2006 DVD with other games.

I think I'll be renting this one after hearing the reviews to see what its like, as i didn't really play last years too much after buying it. 5 nights from Xtra-Vision for 7.50euro so should get a decent feel for it.

Good point, I bought last year's one and after about a month it wasn't remotely looked at again, I'm only interested in this year's one for the weapons physics and WWE Universe mode.

Lads I thought this game was released yesterday. I got my mother to hop into Xtravision today to get the game for me and she was told that it has not been released yet.

It was released in the US at midnight on Tuesday, its out on Friday over here.

Where would be likely to be selling it early though?

Most major places i know (hmv, gamestop, xtravision) dont have it on their system until the day of release.

To stop workers buying the games early that will be in high demand. Call of duty for example.

I'm pretty sure Smyths have a habit of releasing games a few hours early
