You sure? Very nice of you. Your a Pats fan yeah? Tell you what, will we go double or nothing on the result of the Pats Vikes game next week. It might actually be worth shipping over 20 quid!

Ah yeah I'm sure, it gave me extra interest in keeping track of the Vikings games so I'm happy enough with that anyway. Tell you what, to make it interesting next week, if the Pats win next week, I get to design a Tom Brady signature you have to use for the rest of the regular season, and if the Vikes win, then you get to design a Brett Favre sig for me. You up for it? :pac::p

Deal! That will be quite funny, especially as so many of your posts contain the following 3 characters....

    Favre

    Interception

It's on! Just so you know, I don't plan on using some heroic shot of Brady throwing a TD. Oh no, I'll be thinking more along the lines of ...

I see why Brady's gone for the hobo hair and highlights, he kept getting mistaken for Jonathan Sexton!

I read Giselle prefers him with long hair. Now whether that's true or not is another thing, but personally, if there's so much as a hint that a Brazilian lingerie supermodel preferred me that way, I would literally stab a baby if she asked.

Yeah all nighter dude. Do it you know you want to :D

I really did want to, but common sense won out in the end and I went to bed :(

Just saw Packers Vikings game in Bangkok. Everyone else seemed to find a lot of entertainment in my obvious torture at watching those final 2 minutes. Nerve wracking stuff.
I got to say I think the overturning of Vikings TD was awful. If that isn't a TD than I don't know what is.

As for the rest of the results, wtf is going on. Saints lose, Raiders destroying the Broncos, Ravens nearly losing to the Bills.
    What a totally bizarre season.

Favre's consecutive starts streak could be under threat. Childress has announced that he has two fractures in his ankle and his status is uncertain for the Pats game.

He mightn't want to risk any.. Pat-ie-wackery!

    Anyone? Anybody?

Childress pretty much threw him under the bus last night too in his post match press conference which was really bad.
While Favre did throw one awful interception the other two were on the receivers imo. You can't just stand there static when the ball is coming your way and allow a defender to dive over you and make an interception. It was a great move by the defender on that one but still the receiver should be aware of his presence.

And regarless of what happened, Childress should not be publicly blaming his QB.

in fairness though, two were idiotic attempts on favres part to try and make a play while getting hit instead of just taking a sack or throwing it away.

The other was an ill advised heave downfield

That's typical brad clueless though, poor coach when all is said and done

That has always been Brett Favre though. One frustrating thing about the great man.

Never understood how Childress has kept his job. How can you have that offense and that semi decent defense and start the season with a losing record. His play calling for me is always questionable and the fact he throws players under the bus a lot is madness.

It's well known Childress and Farve don't like each other, so I'd imagine Childress would like to still have a job to come back to when Farve-mania finally ends in Minesota.

I would imagine we will see Childress gone before we see Favre gone even if Favre is out through injury. Easy for people to make Favre the scapegoat for the sh1t start to the season.

cowboys season on the line tonight in texas. can't afford to go 1-5. unfortunately i think they will have too much for Giants tonight

Eli Manning attempts 3 incomplete 1 interceptions 2:eek:

And the incomplete should have been intercepted.

Had to laugh at the commentator there after Eli's first completion.

    "Well thats encouraging, no interception"

    :D

Serious injury for Romo...could be gone for season

Total disaster now for the Cowboys. They are getting embarrassed out there now. Romo gone for a while, defense really looks bad against the Giants, backup QB John Kitna sucks real bad too.

I think Wade Phillips time is up in Dallas at sometime in the next 24 hours.

What happened to dallas. I left work and ppower said they were 10-7 up and come home and they are being destroyed. Watching the playback it just looks like they cant move the ball at all

They were up 20-7 and then the Giants got on top and took out Romo with a ferocious tackle. Since then I don't think Dallas have manufactured a first down on offense and their defense is getting embarrassed.

Wow, how can you not take the FG there? Bizarre call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,957 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Wade Phillips must be trying to get sacked before the game finishes. He goes for it on 4th and goal from the 6 when he could have brought it down to a two score game. Like wtf?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,587 ✭✭✭gerire

Going for that 4th down was crazy. Either way a fg or a td leaves it a 2 score game. Kitna was making great progress calling the plays and moving the ball fast.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,658 ✭✭✭✭Peyton Manning

Had they taken that FG, this would only be a one score game.

Barring a miracle comeback, Wade go bye bye.

For next week, might see Stephen McGee instead of Kitna

    At home for the Jags

The hit didn't look as bad as some of the ones Cutler has been taking every game. Even though I don't like Romo, you never like to see a player suffer an injury like that.

Dallas Cowboys: So much hype, so much fail.

Are Denver really that bad? Or are the Raiders starting to look like a team?
bit of both really! And boy was it worth watching! Fingers crossed for next week against Seattle, knowing the Raiders though, it'll be a defeat for them.
