What?! I'm not that lean!! Srsly you guys will see at the beers, tho I do have about 10 days to sort that out so will hopefully come in less bloated if nothing else.

Over head Cable extentions? It's deffo less pressure on the elbows.

Or reverse grip pushdowns, feck all weight needed and you'll get a stupid pump, plus it's a completely alien movement to you.

Is it just size you're going after yeah?

I won't be going, but judging from your log I imagine you're half thinking of carb and water depleting the day before to look even more dry. And feck off with your not that lean, you've been stupid lean for the past few months. People like you shouldn't be allowed scales, mirrors or calipers. :pac:

Haha I would if I wasn't going out afterwards. Not a hope of going out dehydrated. Howareya pukey the clown.

I haven't really been stupid lean. Hell I've hardly even been lean. I've been consistently able to grab around 10mm at my suprailliac. I want better.

As I said, I'm gonna aim for a 1,000kcal a day deficit for the month of September. I'm out tomorrow night and for the beers on Saturday week but apart from that I'm gonna try and stay in or at least not drink if I go out.

Close grip pushups or Dumbell floor press for the triceps.

DB floor presses won't take much out of you CNS wise if you do them light enough and rest pause style.

The problem with CG push ups is that they break my elbows, and dumbbell floor presses are too hard to get into position. Plus my shoulder has NO love for them. I'll try em light with like 30kg and see....

    <<What's the difference between a 4.0 and a 4.6....??>>

    Foam Roll - 8 positions

    Deadlift (beltless) - Coan-Phillipi Week 3:
    *double overhand*
    60kg 2x5
    110kg x3
    140kg x1
    *mixed*
    170kg x1
    200kg x1
    220kg x2

    "Speed" Pulls (beltless):
    180kg 6x3

    ---Giant set---

    SLDL:
    140kg x8

    Bent Over Row:
    90kg x8

    Neutral grip chins:
    bodyweight x8

    ---3 rounds---

    Good Mornings:
    80kg 3x8

Haaaaaaaaaappy days!! I can deadlift again, tho I tried to injure myself during the warm ups when I put a 15kg on the side I injured my trap, and 10kg on the other. Ddin't work out too well.

The 220kg x2 didn't go easy, but it went smooth. I was using one of the smoother bars and liquid chalk as well which REALLY doesn't help at all. Good enough all things considered. Speed pulls were fine too. Ridiculously easy like.

SLDL's were handy, +10kg next week for the last time before the deload and lowering of reps. +5 again on the rows and GMs, even tho my back doesn't like them. Dnno what I'll do wit the chins. I really just consider them the rest in between the other exercises.

My back's a bit weird.... when I let my self settle into lockout at the top I get like a stabbing pain just to the left of where my c-spine and thoracic meet. I'm really having to concentrate hard on just locking up straight rather than settling back. Probably a good thing to learn anway. Fingers crossed it continues to improve.

I'll train strongman this weekend, but I'm giving the stones a miss and taking it handy on the yoke.

No, I'm falling back into place. The shoulder injury's like May old. The upper back one's new, but it's gone away now.

if you want we can have a falling apart comp, i currently have a "who can wrap up the most joints while still technically being considered a raw lifter in certain feds" comp with COH, he wins with his knee high socks for everything tho atm.

I need a tricep exercise that's not rolling dumbbell extenstions, pushdowns of any sore or skull crushers. Anyone got any suggestions?

Don't know if its a suitable tricep exercise for ya mate but I have an exercise that I like that I'm not really sure I could put a name on but it probably has.

Use an adjustable bench at 45 degrees and a park it beside a low cable stack with your back to the cable stack. Put a straight bar on the low cable and you will need a chain to extend it.

Lie on the bench and basically extend your arms out like an overhead extension always starting from a good stretch.

Proabably won't get a job writhing for Muscle and Fitness with that discription but hopefully ya can make out what I'm saying.

Yup, I get whatcha mean. I dunno how well I'd be able to manage it cos TF is stupidly busy when I train and there's only 2 adjustable benches. I'll try anything once so if I can find an opening I'll give it a shot.

    Cheers :)

    <<Eatind crab, living the life...>>

    Smolov Press - Week 1, Day 3:
    40kg x5
    60kg x3
    67.5kg 7x5 - eaaaaaasy

    Bench:
    60kg x5
    80kg x5
    100kg x5
    120kg x3
    140kg x1 - pretty smooth

    Kneeling pulldown:
    2 build ups x12
    some amount of weight 3x12

    *supersetted with*

    Seated Dumbbell Powercleans:
    7kg 'bells 5x12

    Chest Supported Rows:
6 sets in 2 plate jumps up to 112.5kg x10

Decent sesh. Didn't train Friday or yesterday cos I was out both days. Not a whole lot of sleep over the weekend so happy just to buzz thru today. Didn't bother with cardio cos I've better ways to spend that half hour today.

Pressing was grand. Strong like. +5kg should be alright next week.

Benching was an annoyance, I was using a bar that's probably more bent than Raw's cambered bar so it was constantly tryna roll outta my hands.

Gonna start to bump up the upper back volume too. The CS rows were probably a bit too heavy to be a legit training weight. I'll come back down a plate or two and hit 5x10 with it next time.

<<With the top down, holla back...>>

    Smolov Press - Week 1, Day 4:
    40kg x5
    60kg x3
    72.5kg 10x3

    Double Overhand Barbell Hold:
    112kg x30 second hold
    122kg x "
    132kg x "
    142kg x "

    EZ Bar Hub Grip:
    Bar +7.5kg - 3x 10 second holds

    Dumbbell Floor Press:
    35kg 'bells x20

    Rolling Dumbbell Extenstions:
    20kg 2x15, 1x10

    Pushdowns (on good pulldown machine):
    plate 45 3x10

    Pushdowns w/ rope splitting:
    plate 30 x20

Good session. Pressing was solid. +5kg will go alright next time.

Used the thicker bar for holds, was a bit more difficult... So obvs that had an effect. And not cos I'm a pussy or anything.

EZ bar holds were grand, +2.5kg next week.

Dumbbell floor press for high reps - I like. Nice was to pre-fatigue the tris a bit. I'll go for more reps next week.

The rolling extenstions were grand, up to 22kg 'bells next.

Pushdowns were both fine. Same weight and more reps next.

    Foam Roll - Legs

    Hammer Strength Leg Extension:
    20kg x12
    40kg x12
    60kg x12
    80kg x12

    HS Leg Press:
    80kg x10
    120kg x5
    170kg x10-6-5rp
    130kg x20

    Standing Single Leg Curls:
    plate 10 x12
    plate 15 x12
    plate 25 3x12

    Preacher Curls:
    40kg x15-6-4rp

    Incline Dumbbell Curls:
    17.5kg 'bells x12, x10

    Seated Dumbbell Curls:
    17.5kg 'bells x15, x11

Good sesh... Decided to warm up with the HS extension for the gas today. Grand oul movement.

Happy with the HS Leg Pressing... up 2 reps total and 10kg from last week. I'll go to 180kg next week.

Happy too with the leg curls, I dunno where to go next with them. Might do 2 sets of 8 with 30 and then drop back for 2 of 12+ with 25 again.

Preachers were grand, bit of a drop off repwise but up 5kg from last week. I'll go to 42.5kg next week. I wanna maintain the 20-25rp range on them.

Incline curls were good. Almost got my 2x12. I'll stick with it next week.

4 more reps total this week with the seated curls. Gonna push for 2x15 next week before playing with the 20's.

Oh and I've walked home from work the last 2 days - that's about 45 minutes of walking at a decent pace per day.

    65kg 4x9

    Skull Crushers
    42.5kg 5x10

    Dips:
    bodyweight 3x15

Seated Row (medium parallel handle on middle machine):
    plate 45 x12
    plate 60 5x12

    Seated Dumbbell Powerclean:
    9kg 'bells 3x15

    Crosstrainer:
    level 12 x10 minutes
    level 13 x10 minutes
    level 14 x10 minutes
    TOTAL: 30 minutes

Grand sesh. The pressing was tough today. The last couple of reps on the latter two sets were hard. +2.5kg next week only. 70kg 5x7'll be very interesting this week.

Happy out with the skulls. 45kg next week.

Bodyweight dips got a nice pump in my tri's with minimal pain else where. 3x20's the goal.

    Cardio for they ghey...

    Deadlift (beltless) - Coan-Phillipi Week 4:

    100kg x2
    140kg x2
    180kg x1

    SLDL:
    150kg x8

    Bent Over Row:
    95kg x8

    Chins:
    bodyweight x8

    GM's:
    90kg x8

    ---end giant set---

Fat bar pushed pressed to 110kg with everyone and missed 120kg.

Had a tire flip off with Drifter which we both got bored of.

Jumped onto a 46 inch box with Kev.

Happy out with the deadlifts. Very tough tho.

Way too mcuh to try and recap, it was good seeing everyone again and meeting a few new faces.

The session afterwards was just stupid messy. Definitely need to do another in the cming few months!

    <<Break on thru....>>

    Foam Roll - 8 positions

    Smolov Press - Week 2, Day 2:
    40kg x5
    60kg x5
    70kg 5x7

    Double Overhand Barbell Holds:
    90kg x30 count
    122kg x30 count
    142kg x30 count
    152kg x15 count

    EZ Bar Hub Lift:

    Dumbbell Floor Press:
    35kg 'bells x23

    Rolling Dumbbell Extenstions:
    20kg 'bells 3x15

    Pushdowns (on crossover stack)
worked up to the stack x10

    Pushdowns (splitting rope):
    1x20

Got some hyrdoxycut hardcore X today and had it before training. It's straight up full retard. Recommended serving is 1 tablet 2x per day for the first week moving onto 3 by the end of the week. Muggins here decided he'd go with 3 straight off the bat. 300mg of caffeine. FML. 3.5 hours later and I'm still shaking. This evening's serving will be funny.

The pressing was ok. Survived thru it. Last two sets were tho. Definitely only +2.5kg next week. I'll be gutted not to hit a PR off this.

Barbell holds w/ the slightly thicker bar again. Wanna get to 30 count with 152kg before moving up.

Hub lifts were grand. I'll stick with that weight next time and try to increase count time.

Same weight on the DB floor press too, just using them as a bit of a pre-exhaust. Would like to get to 30 reps there.

Time to move up on the rolling extensions too. To 22.5kg next week and we'll see from there.

Did a bit of PNF stretching on one of the lads to get him into a proper front squat rack position. He went from not a hope to pretty much there in < 10 minutes. Absolutely unreal tool when used well.

Is the hydroxycut to burn fat or to just get buzzed before training?

Either way. Sounds better than anything ever.

Whichever makes me sound more hardcore.

Lets just say I'm taking it in my pursuit to get leaner. I don't really care whether it burns fat, buzzes me or just makes me train harder cos I think I should be able to. Any of those outcomes is a win!

I used Hydroxycut before and I got pretty much the same jitteriness and energy you described. How are you finding it for appetite suppression?

I found that the latter diminished pretty fast and I got used to the jitteriness. It started messy with my sleep patterns though and that píssed me off something rotten, most stimulants tend to do that to me though.

I'll be interested to see how long you feel the effects of it for.
