    Got my result today so Beca if you would update your list I would be most grateful :) I got 60 and I am from a RC background so hoping that will keep me in the mix. Still waiting on my medical date

    You can really see what a difference the IST result makes.

    Even though there's one point difference in the AC, the IST can mean 100 places difference.

    Just found the shortcut to this site on my laptop, completely forgot about it until now.

    I went through the process about 18 months ago and was on this site everyday, stressing about merit numbers and "the call". I know what your all going through but trust me it is well worth with wait.

    I had to email them just to clarify something and asked, they told me that I'd passed and that this had been communicated to recruitment.

    Another step closer, but still so far far away! :rolleyes:

    i hav passed both IST and AC and had my vettings forms returned by mid july, after reading some earlier posts am guessing that means nothin...we wil be luck to get in now!! thats wat am takin from al this...:confused::confused:

    Well , there is a freeze in place and as long as that continues nobody is going anywhere. Did you get your merit score ?

    i kno there is a freeze on...hence the comment. i dont kno but is the merit score? is that jus ur results from both the IST and AC? dont mean to sound stupid jus lookin for a little help in understanding were i stand now...

    No you would of got the AC score of X for example 50 so depending how many scored better than you further down list you go you need ring external appointments and basically out of the final 1000 people left your placed X

    As above - you ask if the IST and AC score are used to asess your Merit Score ? The main decider on your merit place is your AC score , however when you have the same AC score as others ( something that is quite likely to happen given the AC is scored out of 70 ) then the order is established by reference to your IST mark.
    Example - 20 people have the same AC score , the person in that group with the highest IST result will be top of that 20 and the person with the lowest IST will be bottom.
    You need to ring for your merit number - I'll PM you the phone number.

    Just wondering what happens if two people score the same in both the AC and the IST? Has this happened before? I am guessing it could happen easily enough :p

    They take a random question from your IST and see who got it right. The person who got it right goes ahead of the other person.

    If both people got the question right, they pick another random question from the IST and so and so on.......
