Hehe I guess I'll go then. Mum was all "I'll pay for flights and everything but.. we're going to Glasgow right?" lol so I don't think I have a choice... Though I made the mistake of printing out the document they sent, and it's 25 pages, 7 of which are just filled with lists of aircraft and the amount of seats, their speed in knots, etc. It's all very interesting though. :)
I doubt anything will come of this but who cares?
Yeah you should...and you get a free trip basically so why not :) 25 pages is not bad though, I had to print out over 300 for the last bit of coursework I had to turn in for my last course :pac:

Shouldnt be too hard for you to learn that off, I know you can do it, and I suspect that you'll be one of those 3% who pass all stages:cool: The fact you find it interesting is always a plus! You'll do better that way :D

aww hun, your so young yet so passionate about this, you are very look to know exactly what you want at this stage.

you gota go do the test, As D said, satisfy your curiosity at least. you'll always wonder if you dont!

sound so exciting and i think youd be well able for it :)

25 pages isn't bad but they sort of expect you to elaborate on it. Like the 25 pages don't actually explain anything lol Luckily, good old Deckydec already knows all this stuff.
Also, you had to print out over 300 pages but you were already in the course!

It's like 25 pages of this:
    NATS wrote:
From 16th March 2006 Class B airspace ceased to exist in the London and Scottish UIRs. This was a result of the UK playing their part in the European airspace harmonization program and Class C airspace replaced all Class B airspace. Class C airspace replaced class A, D, F and G airspace above FL195 in the London and Scottish FIR/UIRs from 15TH March 2007. However to accommodate Visual Flight Rule flights (VFR) and autonomous military flying above FL195 NATS introduced 8 TRAs (Temporary Reserved Areas). These areas are volumes of airspace where Air Traffic Services will be provided in accordance with UK Air Traffic Services Outside Controlled Airspace Rules.
Class D airspace is for IFR and VFR use and an ATC clearance is needed and compliance with ATC instructions is mandatory. Controllers will separate IFR from IFR and will pass information on VFR to IFR flights. If the pilot of an IFR flight requests avoidance instructions then they will be issued. Aircraft flying VFR will be given traffic information on VFR and IFR flights. Control areas around aerodromes are class D, and in class D airspace, a speed limit of 250 knots applies if the aircraft is below Flight Level 100.
I love the way they sometimes forget to explain the meaning of a specific initialism or acronym and still use it throughout the text. Or the way they only mentioned what "FL" stands for after a few (6!) pages of using it, but never actually explained what it really is.

Mum says I should consider the fact that currently only 2.5-3% of people get more than 550 in their Leaving Cert. I hate that statistic btw. If someone ever quotes it here they'll suffer my wrath >_< (It makes the whole thing seem a bit more of a joke than it already is, while making it sound a lot more important than it should be.)

Lol! The other day you said you always think everyone is your age (or you're everyone else's age? Hmm) and now I'm so young :p I must admit though, you look too young to be your daughter's mother. It's confusing :o

    I'm really happy right now.

    How are yous?

Well to be fair, L does look alot younger than she is...its true :)
Oh so it'll be like preparation for the LC in a way, lots of reading and memorising? Sounds alright that, even though there are 25 pages of it and you need to elaborate :) You've got the ideal guy at hand too that can help you with it since he knows alot of it I'd imagine ^_^

Yeah but does your mam know that 62% of all statistics are made up on the spot? :pac: I'll never quote that...wrath is something I wish to avoid!:D

The longest post you've ever typed? wow! and TEN years? I didnt start using the interweb until I was your age lol:p

Its nice to hear you are still happy:D What has you feeling that way, or it is just a happy time? I'm feeling quite good right now, got to see a movie with my best friend today it was nice to see her again:) I'm now taking a break from totally destroying my opposition in a multiplayer online game (not CS):p Its fun when they ragequit and cry like babies:D:D

My LC subjects were practical subjects rather than memory subjects ^_^ French involves no study so that only left English, whose only learning was the stupid quotes and then the names of various characters. Since I pretty much relied on one poet and bullsh**ted through my comparative, I think I cut down a lot on the course. (I know King Lear very well though. Must be the deep hatred. The opposite of love, no?)
Yeah but does your mam know that 62% of all statistics are made up on the spot? :pac: I'll never quote that...wrath is something I wish to avoid!:D

Jeez you're predictable :p Don't mess with SEC! Besides, statistics apparently keep mum happy.

Yeah, I think LOS, Tar and myself already had this conversation, about how they grew up in the middle ages without computers and the internet and surrounded by cattle. You're a city boy though. I expected better of you!
On the other hand, you're 10 years older.. Hmmm but that's no excuse. Sure, the bf used computers when he was a little thing and he's nearly your age.

It was the longest post not counting multi-quoted posts, articles, essays, long stories and the like. I remember a few years ago we used to have this word game on a forum. Can't remember what it was about but if you lost the round you had to write a short story. By short I mean at least 1000 characters (incidentally, that's the length of the typed up 6th year essays I was meant to write by hand, timing myself, to get used to exam conditions. It's the perfect length. No innuendo here, I swear). It was fun, but those were very long posts because you aaaalways went over 1000 characters when you got into the swing of it. That's how I realised that writing can be fun…
    But I digress.

I'm just generally happy lately with some very bad moodswings for good measure. But that's alright. Hormones f***ing up or something. You know, the usual.
Btw, I must warn you now before it's too late: you're substituting films for training! At least on boards. Bad Darrykins! Though it's still better than "multiplayer online game (not CS) :p

But the main thing is that you did use some memory skill so it shows you have the capacity to do well in remembering passages of text :) Yes that is the opposite of Love, pure unadulterated Hate :pac: King Lear I knew nothing about, we done Hamlet :p

Oh yeah predictable old me eh! :pac: Keep quoting statistics for her then, she'll stay happy that way:D

Oh but I only meant using the net at that age, I first used a computer years before that in 5th class in our school computer room once a week lol. If they were in the Middle Ages, then I was in the Dark Ages :pac:

Oh ok...pretty long post then:) That sounded like fun (if you like typing) and turned out to be pretty damn useful for you too in the end! 1,000 word essays were sort of like the 1,000 lines some of us had to do in detention in secondary school lol, just less boring.

Perfect length eh...yeah I just made it innuendo because you refuse to haha!

And I'm not substituting, I was training Monday night like you already know, and it was cancelled tonight because there might be a match tomorrow I'll find out in the morning. And films are good, but sooooo much better with good company to enjoy them with you:D

I know what you're talking about there too yeah, cant be happy forever but moodswings are good for letting you know that happiness is always attainable and better than sadness and anger:)

The dark ages weren't that dark.
When I'm 90 you'll be 100, so well done! You've just reached your centenary.. in 71 years' time.

Considering the time period that the internet became popular... Nope, still too late. You'd have been like around 10+ in the 90s. So 19ish is a little late. I think.
I grew up with the internet so I can't really comment I suppose. Damn dad and technology.

Lol @ using computers at school once a week! By the time schools in my area recognised the importance of some sort of IT class (we're talking mid primary school here), every kid had at least one computer in their house and they were of course all connected to the net so we didn't do any computers stuff at all. The principal decided to use the computers to do interactive learning ^^
Half my primary school sex ed and reproductive system classes were done on computers >_>

    Hmm I'll probably sleep soon...

    Do you like writing?

    And,

Do you only play hurling? (It's hurling, right?)

I will have, and we would still have some lives left, well maybe I'd be on the last one, you'd be alright :p If I get another 71 years I'd be a happy man:D

1991 I was 10, no computer in this place until 3 years ago or so...we just didnt use the internet much and I played games in net cafés anyway. Its just different from my point of view as I grew up around classic tv and music in the 80's and 90's:D

Yeah once a week it was strange to use them at first, but ended up being fun! Surprising how different it was for you:eek: Alot of advances were very kind to your generation ya know! We done the sex ed classes once a week too, on a Friday morning for 2 hours. Written and spoken work (didnt say oral...you and innuendo:p) was standard and required:) We had our principal for that too haha!

I'll sleep very soon too, getting tired and sleeping pattern is slowly returning to the way it was. I used to love writing short stories and making up songs a long long time ago, doubtful I'd ever return to it tbh:(

    Yes, only hurling:D

I went to make myself a nice hot chocolate so I could sleep. The only alcohol left in the house (I only buy it for cooking and I haven't been using it lately. Alcohol is very rarely drunk at home) was the last of that bottle of baileys.
So I melted lots of dark chocolate and heated up the milk and stuff, then added the baileys (would've preferred brandy tbh. I guess I need to go grocery shopping!). Despite the amount of chocolate, it ended up being a bit more alcoholic than I intended for a night drink. Ah well. Still delicious. Hot chocolate can never be messed up, as long as it's all dark enough.

I also have toast from this morning's bread ^^ Sam (the yeasties. If I don't call them yeasty beaties I call them Sam) seems very happy lately ^_^

That sounds really really nice!:D Although yes its an alcoholic drink, the alcohol would surely make you a bit sleepy too so that can only enhance the effect a hot chocolate drink would have had anyway :)

I'm not a big fan of Baileys, but have had a Baileys Cheesecake before, well some of one, and it was delicious:)

Sam is so kind to you always:D Toast is a great snack to have at any time of the day ^_^

I have been part of 3 different martial arts over the years, played soccer for 15 or so years, used to cycle over 100mi a week, played basketball and ran at different styles (sprint-middle distance-long distance-marathon), mostly I like to sprint though as I have strong legs. But for now, hurling is all I do yes...for now:)

I got myself a cup of tea there to help me sleep, will drop off in around 20 mins I guess, need to get up early and make a phone call or two >.<

I need to really organise that myself! That's one of the calls I have to make in the morning actually...to see if I can continue getting the grant I got last year or have to submit a new application (which is a bloody pain in the ass>.<)

Two fees? how does that work out?

Oh so I'm like a cute ginger that climbs onto a bed with a naked woman, vibrate a little and she's all happy? I'll accept that:pac:

I have a serious dislike for paperwork. But then, who doesn't?

Oh right, you wouldnt wanna be doing anything like that haha! The paperwork is a stupidly long amount of work, why can they not just make it easier to do :(

It took me 1 hour & 5 minutes of trying to get through to the V.E.C. this morning to speak with them for 30 seconds, now if you could ever see a bigger waste of time than filling out forms, that would be it:mad:

Apart from the alcoholic part, that sounds pretty alright :P
