I'm in Bray with Attenuation of 15db, SNR of 14db and syncing at the full 8.1mbits and this 1.8mbit is pretty much the max download speed I am getting for weeks ever since this supposed 1:1 contention NGB product came in!!

Got the UPC 30/3 Fibre package installed yesterday.

Download was at 30mb for a few hours after the lad left and since then its been at 22.5mb exactly everytime ive checked.

Upload is obviously fantastic and ping is great.

Installation was quick and simple and so far id recommend them to anyone, even if im not getting the full 30mb download yet :)

The only time Ive achieved downloads > 20MB was on a Sun morning @ < 07:00

Has anyone noticed how the UPC speedtest app on their site, seems to churn out speeds much higher than these!?

2.5mb is what you should expect with decent pings from a 3mb line, what you have is not what you are paying for!

15mb broadband from UPC, using their supplied Cisco router.

    21758240.png

Happy with results, though the ping can be as low as 30ms. :D

I'm in Mayfield, Cork in case anybody wants the location.

    Constantly this speed.

    cisco2425 upc router
    wireless.
when wired connection, its slightly faster, maybe 21mb

    Is this normal????
or should i be contacting support?

only reason i ask is that i see people on a 15mb connection getting 14.7 etc...
im getting like 4-5mb faster when it should be more like 10+mb faster..

    am i getting things wrong?

    thanks ppl :-)
