    Interesting - i thought i was on 3mb but must have been automatically upgraded. This morning my downloads were coming down at nearly twice the speed!

    I was told by Vodafone I`d get 12Mb out of the 24 Mb package, before I tried this package I was getting 6 Mb from Vodafone, I`m in Kildare. I added a Magnet test just to compare.

    I'm on 5mb with upc. Can anyone tell me if the above is good or bad? I dont understand connections but the internet is very slow since yesterday

    The reason for the F on the ping test is because you have the router firewall turned on.

    You need to turn it off.

    Type 192.168.1.1 into your browser address bar to log into the router.

    Turn off the router fire wall.

    Eircom 7MBP, Dublin 7. These are my wireless results.

    Anyone in the know have any opinion on how good/bad this connection is? My line has been ''upgraded'' recently ( despite how bull**** that is.)

    Am getting crazy results on speedtest and am with upc living in dublin 9 on the 15mb package.
    i think they are messing with the tests cause when i use other tests i get 10mb?!?!?!

    Why is my ping sooooo band,, i did 4 or 5 tests on a few servers. This is killing my gaming on the Playstation and page loading times as well

    Turn off the firewall on your router and your ping will go from an F to an A.

    your speeds are so bad because you are on Meteors EDGE network the light on your modem is green i believe??if so then it wont get any faster as the speeds you are getting is the max for EDGE..
    if your modem could obtain a blue light (3G) signal then it would be much faster the ping is also very bad which further brings me to believe your modem can only get a EDGE signal..Meteor are way behind in terms of 3G signal coverage in ireland but also have the fastest 3G network as they have way less subscribers 3 are over subscribed currently at 500,000 users of their 3G network services
