So, the 9 minutes footage from upcoming 3D gorefest Piranha 3D that caused a bit of fuss at Comic Con has emerged online, and boy is it fun.

How on earth they thought they'd get that in at a relatively family and underage friendly event is quite ballsy. Looks completely over the top and ridiculous, so that - along with Ving Rhames, Eli Roth and Kelly Brook on board - means I can't wait to see it

That was a pretty messed up segment I must say. Went from vaguely disturbing to pretty comical when we saw

one eat it's way out through her face

Great marketing for this movie. The vast majority of the movie going public found the Piranha 3D trailers very silly (people were laughing out loud when i saw it in the cinema).

But this is great, now i wanna see the movie and i guarentee that this is gonna bring thousands more people to the cinema to see this movie!

The "leak" is obviously on purpose, made to look like it was bootlegged. It's definately not from Comic-Con because that was in 3D! Also, there's no audience reaction (although i think i heard a girl shriek when the 2 chicks got chopped in half).

Clever marketing IMO!

The comic con controversy was one big marketing ploy, they deliberately put together a preview which wouldn't be accepted without major cuts and then set about hosting their own viewing in a hotel close by. It's fantastic marketing for the film and the stunt has certainly paid off, just look at the dozens of stories wrote about it in recent weeks.

The film looks like absolute nonsense which is exactly what I want from my killer fish films, I doubt it will scale the heights of the modern creature feature classic Frankenfish but it's certainly looks like a good time.

Been at Comic Con a few times. They must be lunatics if they thought they would get away with that video given the crowd that goes to it. Unless they had it in a R rated area.

Saw the trailer for this today, looks a bit rubbish to me, especially the fish themselves! The presence of Doc Brown is no longer as reassuring as it once was

Could be OTT in a fun way, but doesn't look like it's for me.

Was that Richard Dreyfus I spotted? I think this could be great fun, see this on a packed Friday night with people who get the joke and it could be a blast. If it has a funny, Lake Placid silly vibe to it could be sleeper hit of the summer.

Ugh, what has happened to 3d? Why on earth is it being wasted on movies like this? I've read up on a few things that apperantly happen in this movie and seriously who wants to see an underwater nude lesbian ballet in 3D? Or

a guy getting his dick chewed off then spat out at the camera

in 3D? I don't think James Cameron knew what he was doing when he made 3D a big craze.
