Yet I've been trying to do the finish someone off with a stun grenade challenge and can never do it!

I've done that loads of times. Every single time I put someone in Last Stand, I move away and lob in a stun grenade. Why take the chance that they'll pick you off with their weapon, when you can kill them safely. :)

    Shawpower,

On one of his last videos, (if not the last one) and at the start Tallon stayed in the same area for his whole killstreak. Hiding behind two bins for around a minute. It was one of the new maps. Every video on youtube is like that. And its a pity because he is a good player and commentator.

I suppose I just want to see something different. All his videos are samey now.

EDIT: It was his second last video. page 35.
Just looked at it there. The bins are skips. And he was "getting cover" behind a yellow car too.

This. Have said this numerous times. It's surely not asking much to see something different, is it?

MW2 gameplay is overrated and overplayed. The fact that many of the most well known players have criticized MW2 and gone back to COD4 if not Halo or BC2. Machinima have to be blamed as they have filled the entire section up with COD(MW2 especially) vids.

There is nothing new to it bar new maps. Very few mix it up and that is the most disappointing aspect.

Anyone can look half decent in a pub match especially FFA or Dom. I avoid watching those game types no matter the impressive score achieved. I'm talking about the COD Youtube community in general.

Also it seems the gun used is the Intervention, yawn!

These days I appreciate only Frags as I've mentioned before. Oh and I enjoy the top 5 plays(for the most part) on various channels. Why only that? Cause rarely you'll find anything other than FFA and Dom.

What else can be said on commentaries anymore as well? Nothing COD wise.

Camping is an issue easily solved...play hardcore Search & Destroy
8 times out of 10 the camping numpty loses...Only so many places to camp and once you learn them it makes camping alot more difficult for those aforementioned numpties...

Only time I played S&D was when the new maps were released and hadnt yet gotten into the TDM playlists and S&D was unplayable because of the amount of camping fukkers. For me it was unplayable, only game type that I had seen anything like that amount of camping!

There are only 2 areas where they will camp, at A or B...
You will eventually learn all the spots where they sit like gargoyles...
Best thing to do is to get to them before they can get into position...
and when you do kill someone who camps, laugh at them til your face hurts...

People are getting overly zealous about who is/isn't camping where it's almost entirely irrelevant...

If you playing Dom, Demo, CTF, S&D etc. you have every right to "camp", that is if you're defending a flag or bomb-site (from being planted or defused)

Camping is, for the most part, only a legitimate gripe where you're in a TDM or FFA and where said camper is prone or crouched at the end of a corridor or in a dark corner with their sights constantly up, often in a high-traffic area

I'm not trying to defend Tallon here, or suggest that he's an uber-aggressive player. I've just had a quick look at the start you are talking about. Imho those sections of gameplay were fine. He ran to a choke point initially where he got a few quick kills. Then he saw another player and was keeping the upper hand on that possible engagement by staying behind cover, when a different player ran right into him. Then he got grenaded so took cover to recover health, picking off another person just after. At this point he's on 4 kills. So like anyone he'll not take risks at that point and see about getting to his killstreak. Gets one kill for the Pred, then again plays cautious for his next killstreak. (I didn't spend any more time watching the whole video again.)

You call that camping, I call it smart. Why run out exposed when you are 1 kill away from a harrier? Instead play the game to win, take cover for a few seconds to get your kill and then move on.

Whether the MW2 design has encouraged this defensive play is a good question, and maybe it's a bad thing overall in the game. But bottom line, you are playing this game not COD4 etc, so play by the rules of this one. Killstreaks are what win the game, so when you get close to them, the smart thing to do is to make sure you don't mess it up by running into an exposed area and getting killed one short.

Tallon suggests that part of why he does his videos is to help people improve. And that's a very quick way of improving your k:d.

Whether you enjoy watching that is a totally different issue. If you don't then, simply don't watch it I guess. You don't seem to like his gameplay, yet suggest you have watched all his videos. When I hear commentators bitch about the game, I just wonder why they're playing it. Similarly with people's video's, don't watch them if you don't like them.

Agree with this,if I'm at 4 or 6 kills I'm not about to go charging down a corridor hoping I meet someone and beat them to the draw, I'll hang back, see if I can spot someone and get my killstreak. I usually use pred/harrier/pavelow so once you get the 5 kills you're pretty much sorted for those. Also its irritating as fcuk when you're 1 kill short and you do something stupid and get shot.

And "hanging back" isn't camping. Just because you're not stuck in the enemy spawn, doesn't mean you're camping. There is a middle ground where you are playing cautiously. I agree, this would be boring to watch if you do it for the whole game, but if it's just for one kill I've no bother with someone doing it.

Lurking is the best term I've come across to describe the defensive "Kill Streak acquisition (prolonging)" behaviour.
Sure it's not "Rushing" or Running and Gunning like El Preseador but its certainly not Camping. Camping is hiding in a spot for the whole match, never venturing out of the postion to kill, just waiting for people to walk by.

Did I coin that phrase pal? Or perhaps I heard it somewhere.

I'd class myself as a lurker then, dont go running every which way around the map but dont stay in one small spot either, I have favourite parts of a map I like to patrol around, take Afghan, from the hill overlooking the poppy field/bunker area to the stone staircase, I'd stick around there most of the time and move back and forth, dont see the point in charging for the bunkers are you're too open to noobing and sniper fire over there.

Very true , just like hiding in a corner and sticking a claymore in front of you.....:D

I always find it funny when someone releases a buggy game and the community goes ape sh*t that they have to wait 24-48 hours for a patch.

Remember way back when a buggy game was released and you just had to make do?

whatever about the tubes/thumpers/campers/painkillers/last stand . I just cannot understand how they have done nothing about the commando

I mean , no matter where you read about MW2 its just people giving out about it . Yet they have done nothing . What is their reasoning behind it ?

Laziness I'd say. They've made their money, the map pack will probably sell regardless, they're not really that bothered.

They never did anything to OMA in the last update, even though they said they would

@Oatsey23 - the patches have often taken a lot longer that 24-48 hours to be released and looking back on the way things were isn't an excuse... if you pay a fair amount of money for a game, you expect it to be of a high standard

Its strange they they've completely removed 3rd person cagematches, probably as it was the boosters mode of choice even though it kept them to private matches rather than ruining public ones, yet they've left in a perk that everyone gives out about.
