Hes the one that basically told everyone he went and hid in the grass for yer man to come back for a revenge kill . You think thats not camping ??

I'm sorry, I can't find the exact definition of "camping" in the call of duty encyclopedia but what he did sounds like quite a good strategy.

Weaker players tend to use the term "camping" as a crutch because they were outplayed.

It's up to them if they want to leggit around aimlessly or sit in a corner but if you want to win you have to strategize against that and come up with a better move.

Why wouldn't you want to exploit another players weakness?

Let me put it to you like this .........I'm playing in that game on underpass . I have 4 kills doing quite nicely so I decide to head for the building where the snipers always are . On my way there I get killed , when I look at the killcam I notice the lad was actually sitting in the grass waiting for someome to run by . Would you not say to yourself "the camping bastard" lol

killing people who go back to revenge kill you is just easy kills, I do it myself sometimes, I dont get why people think you're going to be standing in the exact same spot tho, at least move a bit!

I'd be annoyed that I got killed and i'd just adjust to the game knowing that next time I pass that area there might be a guy in the grass, simple.

How is calling him a "camping bastard" going to benefit me?

to be fair I've been accused of being a camping bastard when I've heard/seen a guy running towards me while i was going through an area or building and just stopped and shot him. people do get really overreactive when they get killed, its different when theres a guy lying prone with shotguns surrounded by claymores, those players may as well pack a tent :pac: but this idea that standing still=camping is a bit ridiculous. same as when I want to use a killstreak or reload something like a LMG, I'm not gonna stand in full view doing it, I'm gonna clamber in behind something or dive into some grass and do it there so I wont get shot, camping accusations be damned.

Only an idiot would go back knowing there is a lad hiding in the grass , and thats what hes doing ...........hes hiding/camping for kills , be they revenge or any other type .

Everyone plays defensive from time to time , I do it in most games if I need one kill for a pavelow or a harrier but I NEVER sit in the grass waiting for someone to run by . Theres nothing in this game that annoys me as much as a lad hiding in the grass , more so lads that spend the entire game playing like that .

tbf Krudler , I have a serious amount of game time on MW2 .I'm not an complete idiot lol, I know when a lad is camping and when one is just playing defensive

Same here, I dont mind a guy holding down a building and moving around in it, checking windows and at least trying to kill people he sees coming towards him, but lying prone in a will used area blasting the ankles off people who run past is annoying, nothing worse than seeing your killcam and all you see is a pair of shotguns at ground level aimed at nothing and then yourself appears from the shins down and you're dead

Eh one kill because I knew the idiot would come looking for me. Let me give you more detail.

I was coming from the 'hut' on the other side of Underpass. I walked down the alley that leads to the sewer type area. I walked up there keeping an eye out for anyone that would come out of the 'cabin' area. I walked on up towards the grassy area where the shipping containers are. When I got there the chap came running out around the corner and into my SCAR-H. I shot him and as I was reloading he must have spawned around the corner as he almost immediately came running through the same area so I shot and killed him for the second time.

I had a gut feeling that he would come the same way again looking for a revenge kill. So I waited a few seconds and lo and behold he came running, not walking into the same area. So I came out of the grass and shot him with the Magnum. After that I went around the corner, where he had come from and into the warehouse area. I went down the steps and into the open area, walked up the steps and back to the 'hut' where I had come from.


Most definetly not my idea of what camping is.

I'll try again... next time i'm PASSING that area I will take into consideration the fact that YES there MAY BE a guy in the grass. I did not say I would go back there looking for him.

Definition of camping in FPS games is somewhat blurred it must be said.

TBH I don't see much wrong in what Kintarō did. I'm sure vast majority of people have done what he has done including myself I'm sure.

If people are stupid enough to rush through areas where they were killed like a bunch of headless chickens, that is their fault for being so stupid.

Camping for me is someone spending a lengthy time in one spot and waiting for enemies to come through without budging. That's my thinking on campers anyway.

Waiting for 10 seconds is nothing IMHO.

I don't understand why it has to be an extended amount of time ? I mean if I run into a room , lie down on the floor with my shotgun , kill the first lad that walks in after a few secs. Then jump up and do the exact same thing in the next room , im I not camping ?? If I'm playing on underpass and as soon as the game starts I turn around and hide in grass , couple of minutes pass , a lad runs by I kill him . Then I move up into the long grass behind the little hut where the sniper would be , I wait , then 10secs later a lad comes running around the corner , I kill him too . Then I move back to where I was at the start and wait hidden in the grass for another few secs for my next victim .

Time should have no bearing on it

I think the best way to define camping is ask yourself if every other player was acting like this would it be an enjoyable match.... if the answer is no then your camping.

Was playing against one of them on FFA last week, christ he may as well have had a tent and fire with the amount of camping he was doing. I had a quick spectate around first to see if anyone was boosting and the second player i flick to is sitting at the top of the stairs in one of the buildings on Rundown, double shotties in hand pointing down the stairs, easy kill tho as I knew where he was

actually thats a good question, do people consider spectating at the beginning of a FFA match cheating? you get to see where everyone is before you jump into the match, now the way I figure it is if you're extreme camping or boosting then you're fair game and if you're moving around by the time I get into the game you'll be long gone anyway so it wont matter so its not that much of an advantage.

I could be standing/crouched/prone still in a room for more than say for a a couple of seconds or hell even 1 second be it with a FAL/50 Cal/Spas/M9 and that would be classified as camping?

How long am I allowed stay in one room for?

Can I lay down when i'm in the room?

If so, for how long?

Am I allowed kill people that come into the room, with my shotgun?

If I hear someone coming should I give a warning out on my mic and let them know i'm in there?

When I see you coming and I know you don't know where i'am and your 1 kill away from your killstreak, should I just let you pass?

How many players am I allowed to kill in one area of the map before it's considered camping?
