You seem to be of the view that every post directed at you is made purposely to insult you or make fun of you?

Here's what I have gathered so far.

In my professional opinion you were probably bullied all the way through primary and secondary school. You are still probably a secondary school student and if not then you have dropped out and are now unemployed and play video games and lounge around from day to day.

You manipulate your way around questions with the precision of a hormone fuelled 15 year old, any questions you are asked are instantaneously mentally fabricated as direct attacks at your ego and therefore you use the defence mechanism of asking a question of no relevence in defense.

You are in a state of constant argument, the people you live with are probably sick of you and you them, so there is constant agressiveness and arguements from day to day at home. But your mammy assures you of how you will figure out where your going in life and of how special you so she leaves you doing whatever you want.

When they ask you what your doing with yourself you have learned to manipulate around these questions, that's how you have become so brilliant at it, as we have seen in this thread.

You have no respect for other peoples opinions and legitimately believe that whatever you think is fact, so I can't blame you for sticking with your theories. This may have father roots but I won't delve into that because you are probably embarrassed enough as it is with how much I can know about you from your posts.

People around you don't trust you with much because you have probably let them down alot or done things throughout your childhood and teenage years that were very untrustworthy. You never hold up your side of bargains, you take and run.

I'm a behavioural psychologist. This is all PROBABLY true, some parts I may have gotten slightly wrong but hey, we all make mistakes.

Wake up man, go out and live.

Could you summerise that in 3 words , I'm not reading all that tbh .

Like I said ........full on forum smeltdown .

I will be copying/pasting that into another forum , I might just send you on what those people reply to it ;)

It should say "unsubscribe from this thread" under the thread title in your User CP.

I recommend you go into options and change default thread subscription to "No Email Notification".

For me pure camping is a ****er lying flat with akimbo shotguns looking at the floor...hearing someone behind you and then parking yourself in said corner for a few seconds waiting for him to walk through is NOT camping.Yer man should have ninja pro.simples.

Only time I camp proper is when Im camping another camper,i.e I kil the camper, take his spot, muppet comes back i get an easy kill he gets angry.I move 6 yards to the left after leaving claymore and boom I kill same lad again.Rinse and repeat. And dont forget the lad will think he's smart and come from the other direction even if it takes 1 and a half minutes to do it.And then you get him again. The PM's are worth it:D

I drove a guy completely mental on Skidrow doing this one night, that small building with the flatbed truck parked outside it. saw him in there camping on the top floor, thumper grenaded him, ran up to where he was and put a claymore just at the top of the stairs, boom. Went back downstairs and put another claymore (had scavenger) at the doorway, boom again. went back upstairs and shot him out the window as he ran back for revenge, rinse and repeat for most of the match, abusive pms and him screaming at me made it all worth it, sometimes its fun being a jackass on this :D

revenge kills are never worth it, just accept you got shot then move on.

I only really consider it camping if they are sitting in the one spot, covering entrances to rooms with some big damage dealing close range weapons or a HBS, up on a roof for ages in a spot near impossible to hit, short of something like a nade launcher, or the dreaded boosting. I don't consider it camping so much if they hear someone on the other team, or see them on radar, and wait for them if they know they will come into the room/around the corner, provided they haven't been in the room/around the corner for ages. Unfortunately the killcam doesn't always show how long the person could have been waiting.

this, many a time I've been called a camper after killing a guy who ran past me as I spawned on FFA, the killcam just shows me standing there and him running past but I just spawned and saw an easy kill. One guy accused me of camping when I found him sniping on Estate, he was prone and and went prone behind him and chucked a throwing knife at his arse, I took too long apaprently

ot but talking of knife kills, was playing on TDM last night and a guy got a fcuking amazing throwing knife kill. was playing on favela and a guy got the game winning kill by obviously realising there was a guy in the building directly underneath him, was the one with the ladder that leads to the roof from inside the top floor, he was on the roof and the other guy was shooting at someone out the window directly beneath as it was on the uav, so he jumped off the roof, turned 180 and as he passed he lobbed the knife in the window, got the guy in the head, it was one of those "omg!!!!" moments that I really wish i was recording, gotta invest in a capture card..

Throwing knife kills are always sweet, I got a savage one on a guy once where he was in last stand after i shot him so i lobbed it at him while he was on the ground. Yet I've been trying to do the finish someone off with a stun grenade challenge and can never do it!

I've only ever got one throwing knife kill, fella hopped around the corner, I threw it and got him in the foot. I was so happy! I got the stun grenade challenge once, complete accident. Fella was in Last Stand in a room, someone else had knocked him down. I lobbed in a stun, hit a wall, and hit him and killed him. Pure fluke as opposed to skill :P

I've done that loads of times. Every single time I put someone in Last Stand, I move away and lob in a stun grenade. Why take the chance that they'll pick you off with their weapon, when you can kill them safely. :)

    Shawpower,

On one of his last videos, (if not the last one) and at the start Tallon stayed in the same area for his whole killstreak. Hiding behind two bins for around a minute. It was one of the new maps. Every video on youtube is like that. And its a pity because he is a good player and commentator.

I suppose I just want to see something different. All his videos are samey now.

EDIT: It was his second last video. page 35.
Just looked at it there. The bins are skips. And he was "getting cover" behind a yellow car too.

This. Have said this numerous times. It's surely not asking much to see something different, is it?

MW2 gameplay is overrated and overplayed. The fact that many of the most well known players have criticized MW2 and gone back to COD4 if not Halo or BC2. Machinima have to be blamed as they have filled the entire section up with COD(MW2 especially) vids.

There is nothing new to it bar new maps. Very few mix it up and that is the most disappointing aspect.

Anyone can look half decent in a pub match especially FFA or Dom. I avoid watching those game types no matter the impressive score achieved. I'm talking about the COD Youtube community in general.

Also it seems the gun used is the Intervention, yawn!

These days I appreciate only Frags as I've mentioned before. Oh and I enjoy the top 5 plays(for the most part) on various channels. Why only that? Cause rarely you'll find anything other than FFA and Dom.

What else can be said on commentaries anymore as well? Nothing COD wise.

Camping is an issue easily solved...play hardcore Search & Destroy
8 times out of 10 the camping numpty loses...Only so many places to camp and once you learn them it makes camping alot more difficult for those aforementioned numpties...

Only time I played S&D was when the new maps were released and hadnt yet gotten into the TDM playlists and S&D was unplayable because of the amount of camping fukkers. For me it was unplayable, only game type that I had seen anything like that amount of camping!

There are only 2 areas where they will camp, at A or B...
You will eventually learn all the spots where they sit like gargoyles...
Best thing to do is to get to them before they can get into position...
and when you do kill someone who camps, laugh at them til your face hurts...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,456 ✭✭✭Jev/N

People are getting overly zealous about who is/isn't camping where it's almost entirely irrelevant...

If you playing Dom, Demo, CTF, S&D etc. you have every right to "camp", that is if you're defending a flag or bomb-site (from being planted or defused)

Camping is, for the most part, only a legitimate gripe where you're in a TDM or FFA and where said camper is prone or crouched at the end of a corridor or in a dark corner with their sights constantly up, often in a high-traffic area

I'm not trying to defend Tallon here, or suggest that he's an uber-aggressive player. I've just had a quick look at the start you are talking about. Imho those sections of gameplay were fine. He ran to a choke point initially where he got a few quick kills. Then he saw another player and was keeping the upper hand on that possible engagement by staying behind cover, when a different player ran right into him. Then he got grenaded so took cover to recover health, picking off another person just after. At this point he's on 4 kills. So like anyone he'll not take risks at that point and see about getting to his killstreak. Gets one kill for the Pred, then again plays cautious for his next killstreak. (I didn't spend any more time watching the whole video again.)

You call that camping, I call it smart. Why run out exposed when you are 1 kill away from a harrier? Instead play the game to win, take cover for a few seconds to get your kill and then move on.

Whether the MW2 design has encouraged this defensive play is a good question, and maybe it's a bad thing overall in the game. But bottom line, you are playing this game not COD4 etc, so play by the rules of this one. Killstreaks are what win the game, so when you get close to them, the smart thing to do is to make sure you don't mess it up by running into an exposed area and getting killed one short.

Tallon suggests that part of why he does his videos is to help people improve. And that's a very quick way of improving your k:d.

Whether you enjoy watching that is a totally different issue. If you don't then, simply don't watch it I guess. You don't seem to like his gameplay, yet suggest you have watched all his videos. When I hear commentators bitch about the game, I just wonder why they're playing it. Similarly with people's video's, don't watch them if you don't like them.

Agree with this,if I'm at 4 or 6 kills I'm not about to go charging down a corridor hoping I meet someone and beat them to the draw, I'll hang back, see if I can spot someone and get my killstreak. I usually use pred/harrier/pavelow so once you get the 5 kills you're pretty much sorted for those. Also its irritating as fcuk when you're 1 kill short and you do something stupid and get shot.

And "hanging back" isn't camping. Just because you're not stuck in the enemy spawn, doesn't mean you're camping. There is a middle ground where you are playing cautiously. I agree, this would be boring to watch if you do it for the whole game, but if it's just for one kill I've no bother with someone doing it.

Lurking is the best term I've come across to describe the defensive "Kill Streak acquisition (prolonging)" behaviour.
Sure it's not "Rushing" or Running and Gunning like El Preseador but its certainly not Camping. Camping is hiding in a spot for the whole match, never venturing out of the postion to kill, just waiting for people to walk by.

I'd class myself as a lurker then, dont go running every which way around the map but dont stay in one small spot either, I have favourite parts of a map I like to patrol around, take Afghan, from the hill overlooking the poppy field/bunker area to the stone staircase, I'd stick around there most of the time and move back and forth, dont see the point in charging for the bunkers are you're too open to noobing and sniper fire over there.

I always find it funny when someone releases a buggy game and the community goes ape sh*t that they have to wait 24-48 hours for a patch.

Remember way back when a buggy game was released and you just had to make do?

whatever about the tubes/thumpers/campers/painkillers/last stand . I just cannot understand how they have done nothing about the commando

I mean , no matter where you read about MW2 its just people giving out about it . Yet they have done nothing . What is their reasoning behind it ?

Laziness I'd say. They've made their money, the map pack will probably sell regardless, they're not really that bothered.

They never did anything to OMA in the last update, even though they said they would

@Oatsey23 - the patches have often taken a lot longer that 24-48 hours to be released and looking back on the way things were isn't an excuse... if you pay a fair amount of money for a game, you expect it to be of a high standard
