Sometimes people type fast. Relying on spelling mistakes in other peoples posts to try to reinforce your own point is more desperate than impressive. imo.

When his point is that he doesn’t want to look really thick, it is impressively relevant

Nope. I post under the same name everywhere. Why, did somebody hurt your feelings over the internet under that name?

I didn't know that. So why don't we use that to OUR advantage and put them right back on a flight to wherever they came from? Instead we spend 10,000s of euro per applicant on housing, legal fees, support, benefits, and integration. I suppose we can afford though; we only have 400,000 of our own on the dole.

Actually just to answer my own semi-rhetorical question; The reason we don't put them straight back on a flight is because somewhere between boarding in London etc and arriving at the immigration desk they "lose" their passport.
You cannot then put someone without a passport or ID back on an international flight. There must be a bin full of Nigerian passports down there in Pier C somewhere in Dublin Airport. lol

Hurt my feelings? On the contrary:pac:.

Was just wondering that's all. Mainly because smiffy used to post quite a lot in immigration related threads, had a similar opinion to yours and had a very high post count in a rather short period of time, like yourself.

It is a known fact in Nigeria that Ireland is a soft touch to sniff out benefits.
I have worked down there and believe me they are fantastic at utilising a loophole to gain asylum.
Many I met have Irish passports and openly say they took adv of an easy country like Ireland.
On the other hand I was born and raised in Ireland,my wife is fro
    outside the EU.
It cost us over 15000 and more with the amount of times she had to leave and re-enter Ireland to stay within her visa conditions.
Thankfully mow she has residence as a spouse of an Irish national.
We did everything by the book and the immigration did not make it easy even though my family, myself and relatives before have paid huge taxes in Ireland.
My beef is why are we forking out so much benefits to known fraudsters and making it ever more difficult for genuine cases.
If they commit fraud or are not genuine deport them asap.
I know of cases where Nigeriarans have presented a HSE cheque for 14000 to car dealerships for a nice vehicle, this is the sorry state Ireland has come to.
I am not targeting a certain nation in the above post but I have first hand experience of knowing many who openly say they are scaming the system

and out of all of the people concerned on the Africa Day thread, you choose to accuse me of bumping this one in relation to it, when I never posted on the Africa Day thread, or even knew if its existance, having not been on boards in almost over a month.....

    think about that ;)

The one guy i knew who worked in the Dept of Justice thought the immigration system was a bloody mess.
Anybody who works there and thinks otherwise is either playing devils advocate or they're completely nuts.

    Genericguy,
I agree 100% we will end up with thousands more like her if we don't take a stance on her fraud and lies.
It is a fact the HSE pay them thousands for vehicles, could you imagine an Irish person going in and asking fir the same.
The reason they get so much is they are skilled in their benefit sniffing and will shout and push for everything to levels of abuse and harassment.
I was in the Guards immigration office when the mississippi got her visa sorted and an African guy in the booth beside us got busted with a fake passport by the eagle eyed Guard.
I asked the Guard was this common and he said unf it's regular and their hands are tied by the courts and do gooders as that's where they know they can run for sanctuary as they know nothing severe will happen to them.
Could you imagine if this happened in America, they would do serious time for such fraud.

It takes a couple of days to get an emergency passport issued and they can then be deported.

The more and more I hear and read the more I believe that we are the problem, not the Pamela's or Kunle's, we, the Irish.

I do not blame these people coming here and fleecing the system. Aren't they being allowed and even encouraged?

I watched a programme recently on Lagos, and by god Ireland must seem
like paradise to these people. Rent, houses, medical expenses, education etc etc. All paid for by the state. C'mon, who can blame them?

Everyone knows that if a black person lies to you, you can prove they're lying, and you call them a liar, it makes you a dirty small-minded bigoted racist.

Your right in your thinking,I don't blame the people wanting to come here,I blame the idiots who leave them in.But they have to leave them in,as "
"Europe" needs more people if it is going to be a super power.
Europe's economic future depends on enlarging the population.

If you ever wondered why there was little progress on population control, here is the reason. The entire banking system collapses (is collapsing now) when the population stops growing. Indeed this many be the reason nothing is being done about illegal immigration, because while the illegals may not pay taxes, they all get credit cards and car loans!

Not only that..but being a racist is far worse than being for example a murderer,a thief,a conman or a drug dealer.

yes but when you use that magic word "racist" all words used thereafter have no meaning.

all fair points there. If you question anyone of colour you a racist. The Nigerians know this too so use this card and really play it up if you are ever in an argument with them.

Secondly, yes for YEARS we heard the social welfare cheque for cars was BS. And anyone who spread this story was a racist. I have seen a cheque presented in a credit union for just such a thing, so unfortunately its not BS and is actually true. One gentleman actually successfully argued he was being persecuted/bullied/slagged at his security job because he drove an old scrapper of a car. He got a cheque for several thousands of euro to help him 'integrate' by buying a new car. seriously. I mean you could not make it up!

and lastly, yes, Lagos is like a nightmare and its no wonder those who can afford to flee do so. I would if I was there. It's effectively lawless even though its the richest state in Africa thanks to its petroleum exports. 99% of the masses don't see any of that though. I blame the Irish government for incorrectly handling immigration and having no laws to fairly manage asylum cases. Does anyone know how many 100,000euro have been spent on the case in question in this thread on court and legal expenses. A great amount I would guess. Even though Pamela has been shown clearly and unquestionably to have lied and forged documents on two separate occasions. why are we even entertaining her case now.

I've had rows with nigerians several times..once was over parking illegally and the other couple were aimed at toilet attendents who pissed me off.

On each occasion "You are a RACIST" is pretty much the first thing out of thier mouths when teh argument begins.
You cant argue with them no matter how you try to put your point of view especially as namby-pamby white people will usually take the side of the nigerian.
Again,i suppose this all makes me a racist..sheeesh.
