Well they are calculated on 24inch barrel so Its hard to say without chronographing .

Not as fast as a .204 but in the ballpark region.

i intend to stick with my 55grain Moly Varmint rounds for most things.

It's a whole new world for me customization so I can not say until She is tested out.

They are my current preference, no copper in my barrel after 3 years shooting ~600 rounds give or take a box or so
Your dead right to think outside the box .After about 2-3 boxes of ammo you should have no copper fouling on your new barrel, with non moly rounds .

I'd rather Moly rounds and limited cleaning than raw copper. Copper can migrate and easily deposits.

If you leave a piece of copper on a steel table and lift it up after a day or so and test for copper particles you will find them adhering to the steel table

The extra 2 inches for the extra few fps and a bit more flex in the long barrel ,its hard to balance every thing !

I think you are going to be shocked how easy it is to clean and keep good a custom barrel;)

It's like the Angle of the Dangle. hard to get right. hopefully a .223 Truflite barrel will balance everything out!

aye...thats when you start to leave out the fluting and keep a solid barrel.
Flutes look cool. but a the end of the day..nowt comes of it...In my eyes a solid barrel is the way to go.

my 300 winnie..non fluted is cool as a breeze after 10 rounds through it in 10 minutes shooting. 1 minute per sho

I picked my Barrel out tonight. I thought I might see you there.
    I'm going .9" wide.

CustomRifle, you have a beautiful Rifle but F**k me it's a big barrel!
No wonder the groups are so tight for you :D:D

    1/10 trueflite 28" length .9 inch wide.
I'm a whimp your barrels is just to heavy for me lol

    Especially if I go 28"

I'm going non fluted to keep costs down so it will look very similar to yours.

You should post a pic. the .22-250 makes the barrel look huge with the tiny hole in the centre.

Do you do much field work with it?
BTW I thought you had a custom stock on it? Is that not a remmy stock?

    Beautiful machine!

Had an accuracy international stock on it but thats on a 6mm Fergal built for me. Used a remy action again and a 30" krieger barrel.
Do a good bit of Lamping alright, use either the 250 or a 17 remington, and my mate that shoots with me uses a hornet. Love to hear the "thump" of the round striking home from the suppressed hornet or 17. The 250 just roars and creams the foxes ha
