Any idea what shade? I do hope it's not too bright for their makeup otherwise I'll have to call the fashion police!

Good riddance to bad rubbish, glad he got the murder verdict, just a pity his fellow POS will be out in a year or two.

Just shows the silly technicalities of the whole thing. First of all they got the screwdriver from the compartment of a moped which was stolen that day.

They BOTH attack the Polish guys, actually shouting about the place as they went 'SEEKING' them, 'where is that cnut'. One guy has a screwdriver, and the other is his accomplice, all be it unarmed. How then can it be RATIONALLY argued that he is not an accomplice to murder. Oh yeah, because technically he didn't use the screwdriver. He was absolutely involved in the murder, and will be a danger to society. It will be interesting to see what the judge gives him.

Let us not forget that a witness in this case had their house shot at too. How protected they will feel if the guy who simply assaulted the victims is out in a year.

Scum through and through, and there will probably be more victims of their scumbaggery in the years to come! Justice me hole!

    I lament!

if it had happened on the northside the article would have read drimnagh, north dublin. journalists seem to forget places on the southside when reporting crimes
Ummm... what? Are you saying that the media, when reporting a crime, would say "Raheny, North Dublin", but would say "Foxrock, Dublin"? WTF?

Delighted to see this absolute ball of scum taken off the streets. Hope he serves a long stretch of buggering and abuse.

The family of one of the accused was apparently not in court for the verdict. Which one does anyone know?

average life sentence is about 13 years now. could be less for gangland crimes

Wiki says 12-30 years... 12 years? That's a pathetic amount for killing somebody. The judge can set an indefinate amount too, but I don't think that has ever happened? Not sure.

In certain country, to not help a person in danger is condemnable.
Some people dare to say it's every person obligation to save a life if they can, crazy isn't it?

And obviously they could by the way.

I am not sure what you are trying to say, but you think the girls could have stopped it? If so, how? Sorry I don't know the whole case. No idea about the girls at all...

I think in certain countries to not help somebody is manslaughter, see it all the time in America (sorry guys) that somebody gets shot or stabbed and people just walk by, even when it's obvious from the blood and what not.

I am not sure what the rules are here in Ireland.

Someone like this should never be allowed back into society. Glad they found him guilty of murder was worried that he would get away with manslaughter as well.

life sentence in ireland is now about 12- 15 years, larry murphy (rapist scumbag) was released after about 14 years last month.

the law generally is slow to impose a duty to act, criminal law especially is usually "do not do", rather than "do"

incitement? I hadn't heard anything about the girls?

You might want to read the newspaper reports. They were involved in the initial altercation outside the chip shop and witnesses saw them taking part in the iattack on one of the Polish guys, kicking him on the ground. One of them later threw a bottle at him.

Later, the killer arrived on the scene having been summonsed by a phone call. He claimed in evidence that someone had called him to say his father had been stabbed. One of the girls, unnamed because of her age, denied she told him that.

However one of the girls did try to establish an alibi for one of the accused. Text messages found in her phone proved it.

It sounds to me like they played a big part in starting the fight.

I find it an insult to my intelligence that they would even call this a 'Life' sentance:rolleyes: a 'life' sentance is now just a meaningless political term.

    Don't think they murdered anybody...

Yea well they started it. They're just as scummy as the fella who got off light IMO. They should at least be done for breach of peace

thank christ. i had been following this case and was worried the scum would get off with manslaughter. i hope he lives the rest of his life in eternal pain and misery and never leaves prison.

Bollocks. Drimnagh doesn't fit with your (and I mean YOUR) stereotyped image of the south side now, does it?

When a young kid from Waterloo Rd, D4 stabbed a lippy northsider who was hanging round his house in the early hours of the morning and wouldn't go away the press had a field day about his "privileged background."

    He was found guilty too.

If that's the case then something they should be prosecuted. I wonder will anything happen to them though?

They didn't murder anybody. You cannot equate them to murderers. Hopefully they will get their share too, but doubtful.

    Consecutive sentencing FTW.

Should be 2 life sentences running consecutively.

OT and I think he just got the one but concurrent sentences suck donkey balls.

It's hard to think of someone I've met doing something so horrible. I just can't understand it.

The country is a safer place without thugs like this

He'll be quietly released for good behaviour after 8 years, no headlines, and straight down the pub to get "mad ou of it". There he will spend the remainder of his pathetic existence being a "gangsta" like all the other skanger scum.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Muckie

He'll probabbly be out in 8 alrite, if he does the whole "good behaviour".
Least he's one less Knackbag on the streets. For now. Feel trully sorry
for the Polish lads and their families.

You probably just hang out with Patrick Moore though.

More seriously, yeah. I can't imagine anyone I know doing anything like it.

concurrent sentencing is an absolute travesty, it actually serves to incentivise crime - if you commit a rape, you might as wel commit a murder too because they are both capital crimes and you wont serve any more time plus there is one less witness around as well.

it is such a scary thought, thanks be to God most scum are too illiterate to understand what concurrent sentencing is.

when is was younger i used to think that life meant that they would actually spend the rest of their life behind bars. how wrong was I.

large scale drug dealers and often drug couriers get heftier sentences than the most brutal and degraded violent criminals.

Im guessing this bloke will be out in about 9 years. Sad fact is that as the blokes were foreign nationals the pressure wont be maintained on the minister for justice to keep them in jail beyond the minimum.

that and they'll probably need the beds for more evil fine defaulters:rolleyes:

20 years for 2 lives is a joke, but at least he's been put away.Gonna have to watch his back from any Poles inside.

They'll eat a weedy little POS like that for breakfast!

I was worried he'd get off on some stupid technicality like being under 18 at the time or something similar. It really was a barbaric case. How you could stick a screwdriver into another man's head, let alone two, is beyond me. Come to think of it though I suppose if I'd dropped 15 pills and have been smoking **** and drinking vodka all day . . . Scumbags pure and simple.
