I was praying for influenza:p..the outer membrane question was a bit too specific for me but I think I managed it..

Yeah it was very specific, think that might have put loads of people off. At the halfway mark, I can see the end now :D

Yep, but in terms of time (for me anyway) 10.5 hours down, 7.5 to go!:D

5 exams left and still not finished until the 18th! This has been the longest week ever...

In Bio101 I somehow didn't realise the essays were supposed to go in two seperate books, and wrote them in the one.

When I asked an invigilator after the exam what I should do sh said: "Don't worry about it.." to which I thought Phew! Of course as I was walking away she said "...you can't do anything about it now."

How very ominous. Anybody in this position before? I'm presuming it's the kind of thing that would happen regularly enough. Will both my essays still be marked??

This week being over means a giant weight has been lifted. So exhausted! Delighted though.

I'd be surprised if they were that harsh.

As far as I'm aware the main reason for using separate booklets is for ease of correcting (each lecturer correcting their own Q) but I can't imagine them not marking them on such a minor technicality.

Very disgusting.. Damn chris and her chick/frog prediction ;D

The test was pretty fair to be honest, only problem i had with it is i didn't think the notes for micro were detailed enough to write good answers on either question.

Btw anyone know the breakdown of marks for Biology 1101?

    Cheers.

I like your thinking..I just wish I knew any genetics and immunology!

I'm taking today off though i'll start tomorrow :D

Oh sleep, how I've missed you :D What do you all think of the exams so far? Hard, nice, fair? I think they were all fairly meh, could've gone alot better. I can't wait to see what subject I end up with though

Do any of the second years know the situation regarding failure of exams/using labs to bring you up/compensation etc?

A brief summary would be appreciated.
Do we have to pass all exams?

I know last year due to the restructuring of the course we were allowed compensation provided we only failed one exam and got over 35% in that fail. However I'm not sure how it will work this year. I'm assuming there'll be some form of compensation.

Just a question about Foundation Physics?

Do you have to pass the paper to have CA counted? or can you just pass overall with everything included?

Im on my knees praying for that at the moment..a nice fatty acid question would go down nice aswell..any one doing bio-energetics or is that a dumb question?

A nice Fatty Acids question. Is it naive of me to assume Danni Zisterer will have a full question on her one lecture? (Glycogen)

Dumb question :) Not a chance of me doing bioenergetics:)

She'll have a full question as far as I know..we only had four lecturers and her stuff only fits in with porters stuff really but he already has two questions on the paper to mark!

Do you think it would be risky to just do glycolysis/gluconeogenesis and fatty acids? Really running out of motivation at this stage...

I really hope not, that's exactly what I'm doing, I've been praying all day for those things to come up! It is a bit risky though :) There's just too much to do, especially after spending a whole weekend procrastinating

Im the same i've only done porters three lectures for carbohydrates and the four fatty acid lectures im not doing any more than that but it is kind of risky...

Ok. So the exam starts in 9 and a bit hours, and now, I think it is time... to PANIC!!! Seriously though, those things better come up, I really really need them to :pac:
Nearly there though at this stage!
