    LOL ive more than enough for later ... actually, is it possible to bond 3G and DSL to get a faster connection? im thinking it might be but too lazy to figure it out

    it can be done...you would need a cisco ( or a cheap rip off) router than can take a sim card and a dsl connection...then you need to shape the 3G connection and the DSL into the one trunk....it should work...ive never seen it done though..and it may require some (illegal) modification to the software on the router...


    edit: the drifter and the drifters employers in no way condone the illegal modification of router os's in return for faster porn...

    nope in no way is that possible.... the router wouldnt be able to differentiate between what connection source to use stuff would get lost everywhere...what was i thinking...im going mad...

    you could have it with dsl for data and 3g for voice...and you could set it that all traffic to a certain destination goes across either the 3g or the DSL....but it would have to be done manually...

    feck that, too complex! Maybe I will get another dsl connection and join to our other one! Then again I'm just messing really cos the 3mb is plenty quick

    two dsl connection could be done...much easier to just upgrade the line though

    with two dsl connections you can do load balancing on certain cisco routesr...but your ISP's kit must be set up to do this also....to be honest its really not for home users :) its more commerical and large commerical at that!!! we generally use in on trunks from 100mb-10gb...generally 1gb links....

    we are the very last house hanging DSL from the local exchange, very lucky to get 3MB @ over 7KM distance... tbh the only reason we have it is they couldnt put up with the abuse:D

    I think without a shadow of doubt 5-6 on a Friday is the most horrible hour of the week by a country mile for me.
