Folks, Racing Post have again been in touch with us threatening legal action if we don't close this thread due to copyright issues.

    Their exact message was
"With regards to this thread we would like it closed before legal action is taken. Private members only tips are still being posted.

Members pay for our tips not to have them posted on a public forum like this.

Those who post our tips are breaking our copyright laws.

We do not want to take action against individuals, provided the thread is deleted with immediate effect. "

Therefore I am closing this thread pending a review by our legal advisors and consultation with the moderators.

We had previously issued warnings about this in November of last year, but it seems some members chose to ignore this.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused, but Racing Post are adamant that there has been copyright infringment with " illegal posts and copyright breaches" (their words) and we cannot allow this to continue.

I will get back in touch with them and see what we can do, but until then, I'm asking you not to post anything further from Racing Post or http://www.racingpost.com/ on Boards.ie until we come back to you.

Your cooperation and understanding in this matter is appreciated. Any queries should be sent to hello@boards.ie.

    Kind regards

    Darragh
