230.9 Points? Have you got a source for that?

Why did you want a correction made?

    Yes, the figure is verifiable.

I want a correction made, because your facts were wrong!

    Just trying to be helpful.

Link to the 230 points please.

The strike rate you corrected for me isn't 12%.........its 10.84% if you want an exact figure+ I don't update that every day.

The loss at the start of the day at SP was -12 so a 2.5point profit makes it 9.5 not 10.5.

    The loss at advised price of 3/1 was a 3 point profit = -9. (I know it was advised at 0/30 but only one bookie from the 15 that I use was showing that price so I ignored it.}

    What else?

I see the RP is opening an office here and is launching an Irish edition.
New jobs from Racing Post Irish move

The Racing Post has said it will create up to 25 jobs with the launch of an Irish edition of the daily racing and sports betting paper.

The company says the Irish Racing Post will combine the UK edition with additional content for Irish readers only. The Irish edition - in which it is investing €2m - will also carry separate weekly supplements covering bloodstock, point-to-pointing and GAA.

The Racing Post group of companies has been Irish-owned since October 2007, when it was bought by a group of investors in a deal led by Peter Crowley and Neill Hughes of FL Partners and chief executive Alan Byrne.

The new paper will be headed by managing director Anthony Brady and editor Jonathan Mullin, who will join the paper from RTE where he has been the Gaelic Games Correspondent.

I read somewhere that they have a staff of 230 in the UK...... I have no idea what they all do. A good Irish Pricewise would be good...... I wonder if Tom has a brother.

Lol, im not going to hold your hand and update your chart daily. The loss at the start of the day was wrong as well.......Im not too bothered, just thought it would be nice for all members to have the correct results. But if you dont want them to then thats fine by me.

Thats a bit harsh, they produce a daily newspaper along with any number of other publications. They also run a wesbite.

PW and PWE are such a small part of their offerings.....

    Sorry Golfy,
    • I have asked you to provide proof that PWE made a profit of the 230 points you claim PWE has made twice, and you haven't provided it.
    • You exaggerated their strike rate of 10.84 up to 12.
    • You led the cheering on the one winner this month, when everyone else was saying about time. One winner from 17 RP tips this month !
    • You then chastise me for wondering what the large of Racing Post Staff all do.
    • On your first post here you tried to get everyone to bet on a Golfer so you could lay it back.
So really you don't have any credibility and there is at least a hint of suspicion that you work for RP since you are making unsubstantiated claims on their behalf and are trying to disrupt the thread.
    Thanks but no thanks.

Every winner from inception to August 2009.

I have all the others since, but thought it best not to clog up the forum.

Trying to be helpful, there is no link pointbreak thats why I didnt post one.

Fact is fact and my results are correct.

If you dont like PW and PWE why dont you go suck up to "your man" semipro.

This is meant to be a nice forum not a witch hunt. I tried to give something back to the forum with golf tips, boths of which traded low so you could easily make money. I hope everyone did.

As for cheering a winner, thats what the forum is for, plus I wanted to inject some positive vibes into the thread because crying every day there is a loser isnt helping. I understand the current form is bad, very bad compared with the initial results from 2009 - but you must remember it is a LONG TERM strategy.

PRICEwise is the important thing. Pointbreak I dont think your cut out for this betting lark if you dont have a long term strategy and love to attack everyone and everything.

I would like to see you create a better newspaper and website than the RP......no, didnt think you could.

So please, for the sake of everyone drop it. This is meant to be a nice place. If you dont want to act like an adult and be nice then dont post.

Next time your table is wrong I wont bother corrrecting it. Even after the winner your chart showed wins as "0", so just at least be fair and get the correct number of wins. Even if you dont record prices properly you could at least acknowledge a winner!

Rant over, draw a line under your childish behaviour and I too am sorry.

I only mean to be helpful.

That is funny.....You post up 50 or 60 winners from Pricewise Extra and no losers. I suppose the next thing is you will be claiming you don't work for the Racing Post?

Posting one side of the story. Fail.

I have figures proving PWE has made a loss at SP since September 1 2009 and will post them up if necessary.

Golfing, were you able to separate out Tom Segals contribution to PWE from its inception up until Pointbreak started to do it. If it has made a profit from Feb last year till Sept thats great, but how much of that was Segals contribution. If you can help with that it would be a real contribution. Pontbreak might make the odd mistake but the trend is clear and we've been able to follow it live more to the point.

Edit: sorry the chart is slightly messed. But you get the full picture.

Since September I agree PWE is down at SP. However, at advised prices it is well up.

    Advised Prices aren't realistically available.

There is the odd mistake, usually when I dont get the info that a horse is a 2 pointer or it was advised ew. I am quite happy to correct mistakes and have alway done when they have been pointed out by regulars.
I think my record has saved people including myself a fair bit of money.

essexman, I could work out results by day of the week and come up with a profit and loss. Having done a quick calculation I can confirm Segal is the standout tipser with Barr making a healthy profit too. Fridays are not too bad, and show a small profit, but Wednesday and Thursday are loss leaders - big time.

candlegrease, advised prices may not be available to forum readers no, but more often than not you can beat the SP! Take Segals Irish tips, a typical 20/1 advised may be 12/1 for the forum but have an SP of 8/1.......common sense you take the best odds you can. I go on facts of SP and advised prices, I cant tell you what would be if you took every price in between - that would be ****ing stupid.

I do agree pointbreak "your methods" to do with drifters and which tipsters to follow do save people money - so well done on that. Do you tip yourself?

    Hello guys,

Firstly - great thread, I've been reading it with interest for the past couple of months, was certainly very handy when I wasn't a subscriber to PWE.

I've been backing PWE since April 2009 and since then I am 143.91 pts in profit - I usually get advised price 75% of the time so not a too shabby profit. Although the last couple of months have not been great, but that's the way it goes I guess. I've stopped backing Mel C's tips (he should go back to the spice girls) thanks to the stats on this thread.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for all the stats and don't get too down-hearted about the run at the moment, I'm sure it will turn around.
