 I've been gigging for the last (aww sh!t im getting old) 13 years, both with agencies and for myself and think you're making a very sweeping statement there. I started out when dance music was massive but played all sorts right from the start. Have you never been to a hip hop, jazz or a rock club? If you mostly frequent dance clubs I can see why you would think that but I disagree with you on the "natural" thing but imo its just one genre.
