Maybe you didn't see my post a week and a bit ago, bottle of Jim Beam is either 14 or 15.99 sterling just over the border, 30 euro something in Tesco here in Dundalk. Got two bottles of it and 60 cans of Carlsberg for about 65 quid.
Just checked me wallet and it was 13.99 or about €15.50 for the Jim Beam. Class. Obviously I didn't fill the Jim Beam hipflask my cousin brought me home from Florida with Jim Beam when I was headin out on NYE. :pac:
10 minutes it took me to type and correct this message, it's working. :pac:
EDIT: Also, drink Jim Beam, it's too nice. It with Soda Water is delicious. If one must be a girl and mix it then go for Coke Zero. Not Coke or Diet Coke, Coke Zero.
And I know the pain of trying not to buy everything. I have about 400 quid of stuff in my Amazon basket. Damn credit card. :pac: Also if someone wants to give me a tip on how to get the second half of my college fees raised by the end of the month, please, feel free to share. :P

Why can't we be drunk all the time?

Think I'll log out and get someone to change my password before I get to the angry phase. :P

before xmas I bought a bottle of bushmills, powers, and powers 12yo at leavily discounted prices, but still not as cheap as at home.truth is I don't think any supermarket here could afford to sell at NI prices.

edit: there's an angry phase? You're drinking the wrong stuff.

Whiskey is the only thing that doesn't give me an angry phase, it gives me a sad phase. And even with my state of mind I realise that a drunk sad phase is bad when I'm alone. Hence why right now I'm mostly on the beer right now.

A litre, not 700mls, of Glen's vodka is 11 pounds in Sainsbury's in Newry. I'm fairly sure the excise or whatever on a litre of spirits is about 15 or 16 quid this side of the border. It's a pity and all but I gotta look after myself. It's how capitalism (the thing I love) works. :pac:

Is that the one that's always getting the roide? If so, no wonder....

hard luck on the smokes front, only solution is hit a 24hr garage or drink yourself to sleep....

Smoking is the best thing ever.:( And that sad emoticon was intentional. It's the best thing ever. :( Trust me man if I could throw you one I could. Bought 20 Carrolls around 6 o'clock and am down to 5 already and have a lot of drink left. The worst thing about smoking is that it puts a limit on your bedtime. Every time you set the limit is when ya plan to have one left. Then ya push it to the point "oh I'll just get them tomorrow, I can go 10 minutes after I wake up without one".

Classic, haven't had a chick admitting that kinda stuff to me in years.:o

Drinking oneself to sleep when ya smoke requires smokes. Especially when yer a lardarse and drink's strength is weakened. :pac:

4 left. Gonna try and make sure that the number of cans I drink is more than the number of time I hit the toilet. :pac: Was hoping for an early night but **** it, gym's open late tomorrow, even if I do go on my own.
Also, anyone ya meet in person knows that ya smoke. Especially chicks in pubs. :pac:

early pub is open soon...... never been in one but always said i'd go... hmmmm i dunno!!!

Damn, just put out a butt in the can I was drinking from. Luckily I realised my mistake straightaway. Something I wish I'd done just over 5 years ago at a certain party I'll never forget. I'll put it like this, I was technically part of a threesome. :pac:

That Slim Shady sounds basass. Not in a cool way either, rape is bad.

Go to that early pub, if there was one here I'd go, I'd feel more civilised or something. Is it definitely open? I thought there were some new licensing laws that banned them?

i think you should get on an early bus to cork, 'till we have a few pints!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,315 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

If only this was a properly socialist country and I could afford a bus to Cork. I hate socialism but right now it would kick ass to have an affordable way to get down there. Then again under those circumstances I'd have to actually work to survive. A bit like pure capitalism. Such a dilemma. :P

Ya know I deal with being sick? I stop being sick and be awesome instead.
Nah I deal with being sick by using it as an excuse to drink. I still live with my parents btw. Gonna have to clear these empty cans soon. :pac:

Actually on the idea of meeting up when is the next powerlifting meet? Isn't there something this month? We should all meet up and get drunk beforehand. :pac:

Bus to Cork? No thanks. Went from here to Tralee once, never again unless there's a lady waiting. :pac: On the way back was probably worse, left my mate's place at like 5.30 so I wouldn't have to help tidy up. You ever seen geeks go crazy? It's ****ing scary.

Seconded (ya socialism hating bastid) I'm on my xxth whiskey, pretty much foregoing sleep in favour of meeting the other half tomorrow/this morning in a few hours.

dude, turn up to the breakfast whiskey in hand and i'll donate a tenner to the charity of your choice.... with photographic evidence.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,165 ✭✭✭✭brianthebard

roffles, you want me to cycle to brekfast with a whiskey in hand? I like the idea but not in this frosty weather. If you want photo evidence of my present drinking I'll provide that!

edit: if I knew what time the college bar opened I would, but I don't so can't guarantee a whiskey at any time before midday. So hungry right now...
