Very sad for such a young woman.

I hear there hasn't been, and might not be an autopsy?

I know young people can die from heart attacks, but it's not the most frequent
of occurrences. I wonder was it just an open and shut case with Brittany?

Riddle me this, lads: how come it's ok to crack jokes about anything else other than famous recently-deceased celebs?
I've no intention of posting Brittany Murphy jokes, nor do I necessarily want to hear them (not that I'll go on acting like anyone who posted them is pure evil because I'm being over-sensitive to something that actually doesn't really upset me). But I much, much less want to hear jokes about auscwitz, or Madeline McCann, or some guy who dies, but it's ok to laugh about because he wasn't famous.

    It's pathetic double standards.

Ohh but you see davyjose, these celebrities are meant to be loved, and praised and admired by everybody from cradle to grave because they are intrinsically more valuable human beings than you or I!

It's sad because she was pretty... for the love of Jesus. There's a forum for celebrity grief-whoring, why is this not in there?

And to those of you amazed at how many 'celebrities' have died in 2009 - this is purely because what counts as a celebrity has been diluted to such an extent that anyone with a blog or a 2-minute youtube clip is now deemed worthy of intergalactic mourning.

There's a forum for celebrity grief-whoring, why is this not in there?

Because if we moved this thread thread over to that forum we would have to all the whingers and moaners complaining.

AND if we allowed jokes on celebrity death/major accident death we would have over 50% of posters complaining.

SO if people want to make jokes they can pop along over the the lol forum and have the craic there.

    CLEAR?

Maybe it is because without that rule this thread would be chockabollock full of attention seeking trolling cockfags trying to outdo each other & no one wants that. Besides there will be plenty of time for jokes in a day or two what's the rush.

I personally don't have any jokes to make, but if there is no humor allowed, shouldn't this really be merged with the Celebrity & Showbiz thread then??

Terrible news!! Frightening when young people die in these circumstances

We are at a stage now where this thread has devolved into discussion of the rules of the thread. The moderators have indicated why the thread is this way. If you want to query it take it to feedback or pm a moderator. No more discussion of thread rules please.

Actually the guy offered his reason for that rule, I offered mine. I reckon mine was closer to being right.

    R.I.P Brittany, I was a big fan.

She was amazing in Girl, Interrupted and Sin City. Just a really good actress. Faster kill pussycat was one of my favourite songs to get ready to for a long time aswell.

    Won't forget you Brit!

    From TMZ:
TMZ has learned the LAPD has concluded its preliminary investigation into the death of Brittany Murphy and sources tell us detectives have determined there is no evidence of foul play or other criminality.

The PD is now waiting for the autopsy results from the L.A. County Coroner. If the Coroner's findings raise red flags, we're told the LAPD will pursue the matter further.

The LAPD did not determine cause of death -- that's the Coroner's job.

Rumours also that she had diabetes, the husband didn't want an autopsy and that her father found her unconscious in the shower. All from TMZ...

Jeesh what is it with all the celebs dying this year?

Liked her in Sin City - not seen any of her other stuff.

Dr B at the age of 32 I'm pretty sure an autopsy would be obligatory - would be in Ireland at least. I'd say thou there must be some obvious cause for them to be so quick in ruling out anything suspect

Big fan of that song, brilliant. Loved her voice on it too.

It's sad, always liked her, she stood out to me. Real fun, quirky, sweet girl is what I always thought of her as. RIP.

Hmmm... right-to-joke vs respect for dead argument in a celeb death thread?!
    Now this IS new.

Anyway, not a RIP merchant, but (since i'm here) RIP to the poor girl.
