Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.

She was 32.

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a [COLOR=#29a256 !important][COLOR=#29a256 !important]home [COLOR=#29a256 !important]in[/COLOR][/COLOR] Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.

We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word."

seen it first on sickipedia then checked wickipedia which said she died, that has now been changed so dnt thinks its true to be honest cnt find any reliable news sources so might be a false alarm

TMZ publish any rumour they hear. It's a celbrity gossip site first and foremost, they don't have a reputation as a trustworthy news source to risk, hence why they are usually first to publish these death stories. Dozens of celebrities have falsely 'died' this year already.

they are always 'first' because they post every rumour they hear. they are totally wrong at least half the time. They post first while everyone else is checking if it's true or not.

Yep, when the likes of Reuters or the BBC are running the story then you can be sure it's true.

[edit] The New York Daily News article is copied straight from TMZ, if they had checked the story themselves they'd have additional info to write about. Doesn't confirm anything.

could well be true, but thats just another rag reporting what TMZ are saying. Not an extra confirmation. It's their way of covering themselves, Sky News are doing the same 'Reports' that she was died as opposed to saying it.

However they wouldn't even do that unless it was credible. Of course they also recently broadcast the TMZ rumours that Tiger Woods was seriously injured in hospital.

You might as well believe in Underpants Gnomes if you take whatever rumour TMZ fire out "1st". They post the rumours as soon as they hear them and hope for the best (ironically) so it can claim to have "revealed" this story.

Very sad news indeed. I always found her very likeable as an actress. I can't think of anything she's been in that I didn't like. I liked Clueless and Girl, Interrupted in particular.
