She has been looking unhealthy for a few years now. In the pic someone posted of her on Dec 2nd she looks gaunt. People with anorexia, bulimia etc. can suffer from cardiac arrests. But who the hell knows.

Because alot of people dont like to hear jokes about someone who just died. I personally cant understand why some posters here are dying to post jokes everytime some famous person dies. I just don't really see what's funny about it.

I'd believe it was this as well.

A couple of models died recently from heart attacks after suffering anorexia, and heart attack is a common result among anorexic sufferers.

I am sure the truth will come out soon enough, but my first instinct was anorexia.

Thats what happened with Karen Carpenter - she suffered from severe anorexia - the body just can function properly if you dont feed it.

Looking at the photo of her (Brittany) looking so guant I would guess thats the best assumption right now - she was found in the shower in the morning so I would think that would rule out a drugs OD but you never know i suppose. 2009 has been some year for celeb deaths - worst ever I think.

Riddle me this, lads: how come it's ok to crack jokes about anything else other than famous recently-deceased celebs?
I've no intention of posting Brittany Murphy jokes, nor do I necessarily want to hear them (not that I'll go on acting like anyone who posted them is pure evil because I'm being over-sensitive to something that actually doesn't really upset me). But I much, much less want to hear jokes about auscwitz, or Madeline McCann, or some guy who dies, but it's ok to laugh about because he wasn't famous.

It's pathetic double standards.

It's not. Wounds of people who have just died are fresh. Making jokes about them is rubbing salt into said wounds.

Also, holocaust jokes aren't cool either.

There's nobody on here that has any "wounds". FFS, have some perspective. You get "wounds" when someone you love dies, not a celeb.

There are hundreds of musicians who I love, and would be more than sad if they died, I'd be disillusioned, distraught, and depressed. That's because I'm big into music.

There are many people on here who are big into film, or acting. Many of those would have loved Brittany, or Heath's work. So yes, they would have wounds.

Maybe you can't, but other people can and do feel genuinely saddenned when someone like a celebrity dies. Maybe they admired her, looked up to her as a role model, liked her as an actress or just feels upset that someone so young has died.

On a side not I actually agree with you about the other part. Personally i think all the jokes on AH about celebrities, recently deceased or long since passed away, and average joes who we read about in the news to be in bad humor. But this is really taking away from the purpose of this thread.

My condolences to her family and friends, I really liked her as an actress.

We live in a very shallow world where people genuinely do get upset when a good looking celebrity dies. We both know this is ridiculous, but hey, it's fairly harmless so leave them to it...
