It's someone who isn't afraid to lock eyes and hold it with you. On the dancefloor he's the guy that works well with how I dance and is dangerously close to me always.

    Your turn girls.

    /salute

I am sure as hell not scared to lock eyes and hold it with you, and I own a Barrett M82 sniper rifle, I am always dangerously close to you, so go get your coat.

"Nice blackheads there luv. This scope does wonders for you, now go get yer coat before I put a .50cal through your skull."

    That's a winner right there.

All right ladies I have a question on this one. I find when I don't try to dress up I tend to get more attention than when I do. In other words when I go out wearing whatever I happened to be wearing beforehand I tend to get more attention than when I make the effort to put on a decent shirt or whatever. I don't get it - when I feel like a slob I get more attention than when I feel like I've spruced up. Explain ur crazy ways please!!!

I got that too before, WTF? I was wearing a sh!tty old cardigan, couldn't believe the attention I got. Just goes to show the times when you make no effort at all can be the most rewarding. Dishevelled look for next weekend then! Mightn't even bother shaving for a week!

See, I know what the women want. Oh yeah! :pac:

I resent that comment I never look for a quickie, if you think about it the ones in the club have probably came from the pub downstairs anyway or from up the road or whatever depending on the pub:club ratio of wherever you are, in my local pub the club is upstairs, i've had girls ask me in the pub "are you heading upstairs" and i'll reply with something daring like "oh is that an invite" but then i never find them upstairs or when i do they're off grinidin with someone like it's the last song!

Dont resent the truth. There are guys who go to nightclubs (maybe looking for a relationship) but stand in the corner of the nightclub staring and judging. Its the guys who are up for the one night fun that do the groping and daring.

Maybe my experience of nightclubs is not good!

i withdraw that comment, i resent the lads giving wimminz the notion that all us men look for nuting more from a girl in the club that a shag at the end of the night :D

Thats the back pocket... (Big Wallet!)

So basically ladies what ye are saying is: "A confident but shy guy who gives you the stare but doesn't make eye-contact while dancing dangerously close with a big wallet but who also gives you a bit of space.

No wonder I am ****ing single.

at what age does picking up chicks in clubs become alien to you? I haven't scored in a bar/club (unless i knew her already) in about 8 years i'd say

Was out recently and a guy backed into me and spilt my drink all down my top...i laughed it off and he insisted on buying me a new one even though i said he didn't have too.

Anyway, he got me a drink, we chatted for a while and he went on back to his friends. But he kept coming back even though i wasn't interested and didn't lead him on which was quite annoying!

Still, he was he nice and was willing to make an effort to talk to me and get to know me. Just wish he could have taken a hint!

Personally, I think it's late twenties. Everyone knows the score at that stage, have heard all the lines, have dated so many people so they know what they want/don't want. They can't find it in a nightclub anymore, so they go elsewhere.
What's left over in the nightclubs are known as 'loons' (whether they are or not is another thing, but that's how they're viewed). Going by my experiences of people I've met in nightclubs, I tend to agree. I don't go to nightclubs to meet 'someone' anymore. It sucks the soul dry.

Yeah, I'm 29 now, but don't go to bars or clubs with ANY intention of hooking up with a girl. Generally we just go to hang out and drink. Wouldn't go to clubs but places that are open later generally have music and dancing etc. I suppose I've gotten numbers off girls in bars here and there in the last couple of years, but all this "dancing close to me, riveting eye contact" etc. etc. stuff just seems like total bollocksology to me...

    Aye.

Being hot is far more likely to attract women than riveting eye contact.

Tbh the best night out for me are the nights I dont score. I never ever go out to score but come 2 o clock its amazing where your mind can wonder.

However back to early post I do find that when I feel comfortable and having good time with my mates is time when I score or least get chatted to by opposite sex more often even when its last thing on my mind. The nights I dont care and I could be wearing just top and baggy jeans not out to impress is the night I might get that hot girl.

all women who consider the wallet a major factor... really? going for the guy who pays more at the bar? that's a form of prostitution and you all know it!:D

For me it's the eyes that have it so to speak. If a guy has big brown eyes then he's well on his way. Dark hair, being taller than me and having a cool t-shirt on, I'm not a fan of shirts to be honest. Someone who looks a bit different or artistic will always attract my attention.

I prefer a guy that is a bit scruffy looking but in a clean way obviously ie.
stubble, cool but laid back clothes, not, you know, dirty or smelly or anything, but cool looking.

A guy that is smiling and having a laugh with friends is way more attractive than some guy prowling the dancefloor or glued up against the wall with a pint in his hand.

Seriously though, guys are going in too much for the clean shaven look tbh, if you knew the effect that some stubble has on some of the ladies you'd have that razor in the bin before you could say Gillette. ;)

Obviously when you're on a night-out, you won't be able to go for someone based on their personality. So clearly, they have to be in some way attractive. This is the first phase of attraction.
I'd be inclined to go for guys with long hair, beards and tattoos. I'm not too picky. I love the Scandinavian look, especially Finnish men (hot!!!), but at the same time, I also like the tall, dark and handsome look. :P Anybody who says that on a night out, looks don't come into it, is a liar. You can't judge someone based on their personality from across the bar.

So, once you've established the physical attraction is mutual. So begins the conversation. This is generally the 'make or break' part. I like guys who can have an intelligent conversation and who have a good sense of humour. I don't care how much they earn or if they're a company executive. I have my own job, and I look after myself. It's always been the same way, and that's how I plan to keep it. Obviously a similar taste in music is a very strong advantage (metal \m/). Oh, and if they're single, and have no previous marriages, no children etc. that also helps! :pac:

Someone who looks like they're having fun, with a nice smile.

Happiness is infectious! (Just like STIs you can get from the person etc etc)
