    ertie May 4.00 Exeter
1pt win at 12-1 with Betfred and Ladbrokes
Although bigger early-morning odds about Bertie May have been nibbled away, at 12-1 he still looks over-priced for this handicap chase, getting plenty of weight from most rivals on a day when that is likely to count for plenty, writes Andrew Barr.
Admittedly Bertie May's lowly position in the handicap is due to his poor form in four chases last season, but Kevin Bishop is sure to have worked on his jumping in the interim and he definitely has the size and scope to make a chaser.

On hurdle form Bertie May is well treated, 15lb lower than when a good fifth on his reappearancein a decent handicap at Newbury last November.
He also went well fresh when winning his debut bumper in 2007, and he showed a liking for Exeter when gaining his only novice hurdle win at the track in 2008. Trip and going are ideal too, so take a chance at a double-figure price.

    Paddy's Tern
    4.30 Exeter
    1pt win at 7-1 generally
Not many in this field will cope well with the testing trip and going in this handicap hurdle, but conditions should hold few fears for Paddy's Tern, writes Andrew Barr.

Beaten a short-head in this race last year, on his return from a summer break, he follows the same pattern this time and looks weighted to have every chance. He races off the same mark of 107, but this time he has the added assistance of Peter Toole's valuable 5lb claim.
Kim Bailey produced Midnight Haze fit from a layoff to win a handicap chase at Kempton yesterday, another fact that augurs well for Paddy's Tern.

7/1 for Paddys Tern is taking the piss now tbh - he was 10/3 in my local bookies at 1pm.

Two good winners yesterday but Barr would do well to stop advising fairytale prices.

Well I got 13/2 on Paddys Tern, you just have to be quickish (now 9/2 on PP)

You can't expect a Pricewise horse to hold out at the advised odds for more than a couple of minutes at best during the week. The only way you will get on at those prices is to have internet access with a number of bookmaker accounts and be very quick.

I did get 7-1 with Coral but it was gone by 12:04!

Tom Segal as Pricewise in the Racing Post tips Panjo Bere in the William Hill Gold Cup Chase (15:00 at Exeter) today.

Nowhere, not a race to get involved with tbh.

Pulled up but he was a massive price this morning early at 25-1.

I managed to get on and lay later with Betafair at half the odds so got a free bet! :)

Got a complaint about this thread which looked like it had some legal jargon in it so I'm gonna lock this thread now and delete/unlock it based on what some the higher powers say

I'm re-opening this thread but there is to be absolutely no more copying and pasting tips from a subscription site. If you want to share a tip that you have gotten that's fine, there's nothing to stop you doing that as far as I know or to prove where you've gotten it but you can't rob a tip and the reasoning behind it and a strategy they give you and then post it here.

I could have deleted this so I'm expecting you to behave and use a little subtlety in future

Grand. Crap day, three loosers. Close the thread! :pac:

In particular there are to be no tips from RacingPost.com. They have been in touch and have asked us to politely request this before they have to take further action, including matching accounts on their site with accounts here and closing the RacingPost accounts.

We have not been asked to provide any information on accounts from our side, but to make it clear that it is in breach of their terms and conditions and they will follow it up with account holders who do this.

    Be careful out there.

Interesting. Before they went subscription it was straightfoward, look and type. Then it was watch the markets and make an educated guess (which was correct about 99% of the time) then we got lucky with a subscriber or two helping out, which got us in trouble. So if we start guessing (99% correctly) are we okay?

Better edit the thread title as well I guess.

surely there must be circumstances under which we may glean...or hazard a guess at which tips are being given out by Racing Post.

Its obviously unacceptable from their point of view to copy and paste their tips from paid accounts to here but can they stop our treasure hunt?

I thought something might happen sooner or later. I suppose theres nothing stopping us putting the tips up, as long as we dont copy and paste. :D
I think they should be glad in some way, think of all the people we got interested in pricewise and pricewise extra that maybe werent as interested before, i'm sure they got a couple of extra subscriptions or a few more people buying the paper. I'm glad the thread has stayed open though, its great to be able to talk about the tips and the winners.

For the people that don't know this already, here is the pricewise extra phoneline number 1560303477.
Tips become available at 12 midday and whatever tipster is giving the tip on the day is on the line telling you who they are and giving you the tip or tips for the day. It costs 1.50 euro for the call. Considering the success of some of their tipsters, and if you follow at the right stakes the 1.50 cost of the call is negligible

or even sign p for this service it will pay off in the end imo as Seanohea said if u get closest to the advised price and have the right amount of money on as a 1pt for u.

OK, that is far too close to what got the complaint in the first place, you even used the same colors and although I'm sure your dedicated I doubt you follow the market moves specifically for those bets. Don't do it again

OK Bubs. First.I dont understand though. Are you saying that the complaint was in regard to me keeping a record of how their tips performed?

Second, I do follow the market specifically for those bets. Mike and others, who post here came up with a way of working out the tips from the timing of the market moves and that is exactly what I do. If you dont follow racing you wouldnt understand how it works, but its simply cause and effect. The tip causes the market to make that tip the best backed horse of the day in most cases because of the volume of subcribers who back it. There are other factors, but that is basically it.

    Third
By the time I post my record the information is already in the public domain since it it published by racing relay in a different formatand in much greater detail. Each time the RacingPost tips a winner it is also published by them.

Its pretty impressive that this thread shook boards enough to get a post from the communications manager. Could go down in boards-lore:rolleyes:
