Hey, I just joined a few societies today and I think I made a bit of a stupid blunder. I didn't read those little slips that you get until I got home and I notice it says 'to acivate your membership, go to registration desk'. So, did I just waste €12 here and am I not actually registered for my societies?

You're not officially registered yet no, but just pop into the clubs & socs office tomorrow and they'll sort you out.

I think the Hub is too small for clubs and socs days now, its getting really hard to find everything you want. Maybe we need an alternative, a big tent like UCD has perhaps?

I agree! I kept missing the Drama stand today because it was squashed into the middle of a load of other socs, same with Gamesoc

I don't think that the number of clubs and socs has increased much over the last few years - has it? Although it is nuts in the hub - even if they used the oldbar - or something like that!

I can barely stay awake now, freakin exhauted.

Still. Joined Book and Art (obviously), Game, Airsoft, Juggle, Journalism, Strange Things, Photo and Music. Enough? Yes.

Everyone who joined BookSoc today, WOOT! Prepare for epicness of biblical proportions!

Ha, get it? Do ya? Really? Yeah!

Head on up to the Clubs and Socs office. Down the end of the hall you can register there :)

Show up to a meeting of said club/society and request to join.

Sadly they will all run events at the same time :pac:

game and redbrick would be the best for filling time.
game have an event everyday of the week (not friday-sun as noone would be around)

    and #lobby is always there

Where is the clubs and socs office located?

I was sick last week so I couldn't join anything, don't want to miss out on all the fun after last years socs, especially airsoft.

To join a club/soc just turn up to one of their events/training/meetings. You can't join in the clubs and socs office, as you will need to pay the club the €4 - then they can register you themselves

Thanks, I'll just start whippin around e-mails to the vairous socs and find out when their next thing is.

Not true, head to the desk at the very end of the hallway once you enter the Clubs and Socs office (upstairs in the Hub, all the way at the end nearest the Sports complex) and you can register for clubs and societies there and pay your €4.

Dunno really found them extremely poor, have sent 3 emails to them in relation to the jamming sessions and haven't heard back, regret joining now seem like it's run by a bunch of amateurs.

was in this society last year found it absolutely s**t to be honest. Its a very amateur society with bad organsation. Puts too much emphasis on orchestra and choir.

    poor poor poor society
