How much is it to join a club or society and when is the clubs and socs day???

The cost is €4 for the year for each club/soc you join and the clubs and socs days are over a 2 day period in week 2, not exactly sure what days though.

It'll be on on the 6th and 7th of October. That's the Tuesday and Wednesday.

There's a painful lack of mention of the Airsoft Society.

Irelands largest student airsoft group with bi-weekly skirmishes as well as on campus socials! :P

    Just saying.

The clubs and socs in DCU are extremely active- if anything they bombard you with choice of activities to do! Especially the societies that do big trips or have major events through the year, like Drama, Art, Snowboarding, Frisbee, etc.
Art do a trip every year (Paris, Florence etc.) and have activities a few days a week. You should definately join a few, but not too many as you'll end of spreading yourself too thin, and not getting involved enough to appreciate the socs.

Have fun!! Go to clubs and socs day and see which ones can tempt you with their free goods! :)

Eh, no. A random book out of our collection. It's total pot luck, but I REALLY wanna see the face on some of them. Some are erotic novels, some are Tipperary Survey Maps from 1995, some are actually decent.

But MAN it'll be fun to watch! And adds some excitement to what is generally seen as a 'dull' society... But we rock!

Just wondering what the deal with the Clubs and Socs day is? Do we just go to the hub whenever, like during breaks between lectures?

    Yep, whenever you're free.

I'm thinking of joining Ultimate Frisbee this year for the laugh... Wonder if they're planning any trips away? UCD Ultimate Frisbee went to Edinburgh last year, which I heard was lots of fun.

So many societies, so little time!

There hasn't been a German soc for the past few years anyway. You could always try and get a few IBLs, EBs and LICs together if you wanted to start it up again.

RedBrick and Gamessoc have been my staple societies the past 2 years. Think I'll try swimming this year.

The Sci-Fi soc is called Strange Things. If you're coming into the Hub from the Spar side they're on the right hand side. Near LGBT. If you go past the doors to the Venue, you've gone too far.
