(Aimed at the blokes. I have no knowledge of the ladies toilets. Thankfully.)

    When using toilets:
    1. The toilet 'seat' is for sitting on. If you don't intend to sit down you might raise the seat before drenching the gaf. It's only polite.
    2. I don't know how full of it some of you are... but really no-one should need an entire roll of toilet paper to clean up. Really. Trust me. You don't need that much.
    3. You may notice a small handle on the side of the toilet, it is often metallic. This is to 'flush' the toilet. Flushing involves clearing out the stuff in the toilet 'bowl'. Flushing is really something you should do once you're finished using the toilet. It helps avoid general diseased clutter and extreme plumbing blockages.
    4. Regarding the above mentioned toilet 'bowl', this is where you should aim with whatever orifice you happen to be using at the time. Strangely enough, although many clearly do not think so, the toilet bowl is also where used toilet paper should be deposited. It's the large round section with the water in the bottom of it. There's a reason toilets have these things, they're not for decoration, honestly. The floor is not the place to aim.

    When using urinals:
    5. Toilet paper is not needed in urinals. Please don't try to flush paper down the urinals. It's not going to work.

    In general:
    6. I know there's been a lot of complicated and, dare I say it, newfangled terminology thrown around this post, but I'm afraid another brand new concept needs to be introduced. It is called "the washing of the hands". This is an important thing for many reasons. Suffice it to say that you and everyone you come into contact with will lead healthier and cleaner lives if you would please begin this process. You will notice on exiting a cubicle or turning around from the urinal that there are a number of 'sinks' in the same room. These have things called 'taps' which expel water on demand. They also have 'soap' beside them, this is for cleaning. With a squirt of soap and some water you too can escape death by other people's butt germs.

These facilities can be used for free! No charge! Please use them! Please! Really please! Because you're revolting! I'm not lying! You're quite seriously disgusting!

And the next time I see one of you leaving a cubicle with half a roll of dirty toilet paper on the ground beside an unflushed toilet, refusing to wash your hands and then putting your (literally) grubby mitts on every door handle from the Arts block to the library, I will tell your girlfriend how much of a filthy sod you are.

    ---
I can't believe these people even eat their lunches without washing their hands...

People not washing their hands after using the jacks freaks me out. If you think about the germs transmitted by all those who don't too much you'd go mental.

    Question 1:

Irish Goat needs to be at Dublin Airport 7am-ish. He can get the Flybus at Liffey Valley footbridge at 6.42pm to arrive at 7.05am.

    (a) Should he get the 06:05 or 06:20 bus from Maynooth?

    (b) How will he know where to get off the bus (at the footbridge)?

    (c) Is it far easier to just go into the city centre and get the airlink?

    All questions worth equal marks.

06:05. The later one is probably cutting it a bit fine.

Yeah the footbridge at Liffey Valley. You'll see the Deadman's pub on the left before you reach the stop at the footbridge.

Not at all. The one at liffey valley just flies up the M50. If you go into the city centre you can expect to add an extra hour at least onto your journey.

Get the train to Drumcondra and 16a, 41 or 41b from right outside to airport. Will cost 4.10 in total.

Thanks but the trains don't leave early enough to risk that I don't think. Will use that on the way back though.

Connect to the NUIM Wireless from an iPhone or iPod Touch

(The account, security and proxy settings can also be used for other smartphones)

    1. settings>general>network>vpn

    2. under vpn settings :

    type : PPTP
    Server : nuimwireless
    account : <student number>
    RSA SecurID : off
    password : your moodle password
    Encryption level : auto
    send all traffic : on

    Proxy : Auto
    http://proxy.nuim.ie:8010

    3. Connect over wifi to nuimwireless

    4. Turn the vpn slider in settings to on, it will connect and safari will work

This didn't work for me. Anyone else have the same problem? I try to connect to the VPN but a message appears, saying: " The PPTP-VPN server did not respond. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings and contact your Administrator."

I don't think they have the VPN up anymore. Basically all you do now is open your browser and you should be prompted for your username and password.

Yeah laptops can be! You just go to the desk and ask for one and they scan your student card. You can take them for three hours at a time. I'm using one right now:cool:

'Fraid I can't help you with your second question though, soz bbz.
