/Sits back into the leather chesterfield
    Good morning Gents.
What is the gentlemen’s etiquette of door opening in these days of automated self-opening doors?
In the past etiquette was easy, you simply sidestepped your woman, reached out for the door handle and opened it for her and then followed her out onto the street.
However, with the introduction of automated doors you have to walk in front of her for an unknown number of paces (as each door has it's sensor angled differently) to activate the door, which is a clear breach of etiquette. Caught in this quandary I find myself flapping my hat at arms length while trying to walk side by side with Mrs. Goat towards the door, quiet undignified but is it etiquette?
In these recessionary times I believe it's time for the return of doormen.

Best place in town is Gunn's - Opposite Whelans, or if you're near Blanch, the camera shop out there will give you a few bob off if you mention Boards.ie - And there's a chemist in Artane I think that'll do the same - Search for cheap processing film and you'll get a few results with people we've gotten deals with on the Photography forum!!

Nice one, I know that place. It's just around the corner from my office. :)

Hya Snow. I'm doing well thanks. Even the nasty wether of a Monday morning is failing to dampen my spirits. I can only assume it's because I'm still a little tippsy after a night of excess. :-)
It also appears that every second woman I meet is heavely pregnant and talking of ways to induce the kidlet into the world. There is talk of long bumpy cardrives, trampolenes, grade 5 curries and even (shudder) vigorous nailbrushing of the nipples!
And what of yourself Sir? Anything exciting happening for you?

Dublin City Council have just published a managment plad for Bull island and one section of it deals with Wind Assisted Recreations. Thought you might be interested in reading their plans for the future. I'll PM it to you as it's a tad long for here.

EDIT: Too long for PM's. I'll email it tonight.
