    +1

There's quite a diverse selection on even the most mainstream of porn sites, and look even slightly further afield, and you'll quickly find that any generalisations about "modern porn" are impossible to make.

    Unfortunately, I can't post links here :p

to some Ladies, its all well and good expressing your opinion about porn, but just remember, if you don't know what you are talking about, you can't form a credible opinion.

What exactly is a 'credible opinion' now? To be fair, the opinions that most of the ladies have given is from their own experience of porn, to dismiss that is unfair. Fair enough, we mightn't have as much experience with it as the males in here - we haven't spent our formative teenage years hankering after it, like some guys said they did, and we might not know the best places to get the niche stuff that we're looking for - but that's the female experience of porn. Which is what I started this thread to discuss.

Obviously the experience is totally different for men, they're more exposed to it and have simply watched more - that doesn't mean your opinion is more valid or credible than the female ones in here. It's all relative.

Bukkake is a niche area of porn, it's more of a fetish really and wouldn't be really consider hard core since no penetration occurs.
Which is a slight variation of CFNM ( clothed fully naked male ) except the womon or women are in control. With this the women are fully clothed and the male is naked

Example 1: The opinion: "Porn is degrading to women."
Based on: "I watched porn with my BF"
Not credible because: she has not watched any of the vast amount of porn which is not degrading to women.

Example 2: "Girl on Girl Porn is all silly and fake."
Based on: "My boy friend showed me some stuff from the valley."
Not credible because: There is heaps of stuff out there with genuine women having genuine orgasms and no attempt at scissoring in sight.

A credible opinion is one based on knowledge of facts.
E.g. A consultant gynaecologist will have knowledge and experience with a vast array of "woman problems." they will have a Credible opinion.

I know next to nothing about Gynaecological problems, I can offer no credible opinion.

And as we have the knives out, This wasn't anything I knew in my teenage years. More so I didn't have much access to porn in most of my teenage years. Bar maybe page 3.

Her experience of porn is that it was degrading to women. A credible reply is not "ur doin it rong". You can't just dismiss someone's opinion even if you think it's misinformed - what you need to do is inform them.

You didn't watch porn as a teen, some guys did. They said so earlier in the thread.

The point is, the type of porn that is freely available, in the obvious places to look, or the type of porn that women are watching with their partners - most of that IS degrading to women. The more niche stuff is exactly that, niche. Harder to find, not as popular. Just because it's not ALL like that doesn't mean there's not an issue with the stuff that is.

I agree with you, in essence - many women are prejudiced against porn for little reason - but just dismissing their opinion is just as bad, tbh.

EDIT: And I'll stand by the female orgasming thing. For a woman, I watch a lot of porn. Out of the four r five sites I use, the normal ones everyone knows, I find it difficult to find porn featuring a female orgasm, not including squirting videos. Yes, it's out there, but it's not COMMON. That's the point. Porn in the main is focused on the male orgasm. This doesn't work for women. It's an observation, nothing more.

Your confusing opinion with fact. A gyno is trained to study those issues so unless someone is [a] working in the porn industry, seen every porn every made or [c] has some professional qualification in porn [don't laugh there are college courses somewhere in the states where you can study it] then any comments anyone gives on porn is just opinion.

Someone holding the view that don't like porn for various reasons based on only watch one is still their opinion and a valid one.

With Bukkake the womon or women are in subbmissive pose ie, on thier knees .With CFNM the roles are reversed and it's the female's dominating the man ,they are in full control so maybe not so much a variation but a reverse of the roles

I think someone needs to get out their porn dictionary....Bukkake is not a variation of anything, it is what it is. CFNM is not consider porn by most, it is normally considered erotica which is different to porn.

    No I'm not.
Its virtually impossible to do so, and be capable of conversing in the english language.

Look, opinion is not a permission to say what you like.
You form an opinion based on what you know.
If you have little experience of then you have two options.

    1) Don't form an opinion.
    2) form an opinion based on poor information therefore not forming a credible opinion.

Basically if you have only seen porn once or twice and didn't like it, you can only say you have seen the type of porn you didn't like.
You certainly can't form a credible opinion of Porn, people who consume porn or the implications of porn.

I have no problem with women who say they don't like porn or watched it and said they have interest or arousal. Thats Kool and the gang.

My issue here is proclaiming its one thing based on very limited viewing.

My consumption comes mainly from 1 or 2 well known sites.
And most of my awareness has come from there.

    Eh, no.

And I have watched both and I can assure you there are considerably more differences than comparisons.

You might be closer if it was CFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFNM.

Edit: A role reversal of Bukkake would be squirt Bukkake.
Yet to see that with a male. But: rule 34.

It's annoying when someone makes a generalisation about something that's common, but not absolute though.

It's a bit like when some idiot says "there's no good music around today", and they haven't bothered to go listen to any modern music beyond what happens to be in the mainstream.

I recently found a video on a porn site demonstrating some massage techniques, and stimulation two different types of orgasm.
The guy never took his clothes off.
The girls legs were like jelly at the end.

I won't say its common, but it was Hot.
    And very Useful indeed.;)

Fine bad wording but your example of comparing of a gyno was poor as that is someone who has trained in something in an academic setting, as said few people study porn in such a way. Just cus someone has watched hundreds if not thousands of porn films doesn't mean they're opinion is any more valid then someone who has watched only a few if that person has only viewed work from the same genre. To offer a true balanced opinion of porn you would need to watch a wide selection of porn from different genres, production companies and different countries as well as porn in other medium. It's obvious the vast majority of people on here have only ever watched films on the subject, few have read books/comics/photo magazines or visited porn/fetish fairs [they are a number of large ones in the uk every year], most have most likely viewed their porn via the internet, so really why should their opinion be more valid then someone whose only watched a few of films?

As I cleared up in previous post +1 I was thinking of the domination aspect as opposed to the female DOM in Clothed Female ,Naked Male

Assuming this opinion comes from someone who's only watched a few porn videos:
Invalid opinion: "Porn is degrading to women."
Valid opinion: "The porn I've seen was degrading to women, but I am open to the possibility that other forms of porn might not be."

Actually, that is exactly what it means.

If someone who has seen two flicks, tells me all porn is degrading to women.
I can tell them their opinion is less valid because I have seen plenty that isn't.

One could be of the opinion that everyone from England has a London accent, because one only met people from London. That opinion would be less valid than mine (for example) because I have met people from Liverpool and Leeds, and believe that there are many accents in England

    QED.

So why did you sat it was only a "slight Variation" on Bukkake.

    Its a fairly Massive variation.

I agree with your basic premise, but people have a right to hold their own opinions, and dismissing their opinions just because you think they're wrong is just as narrow-minded and short-sighted.

    .
By the same token if porn is so degrading to women then why have many thousends of women over the decades , both professional and amateur porn actress's, appeared in them ?

It's not all down to needing the money and it has to be career choice for many .

Because some people don't care that it's degrading to women. We're not all part of the PC Brigade.
