Alright but have cut back on unnecesasary items. Mortgage pays for itself with tenant, small enough anyway. If it were not for all the extra work I do I'd be in trouble though. Any big blips and I would not be in a great position though.

They don't seem to check peoples savings. I know loads of peopel who in the past have claimed while having large savings yet they didn't declare them.

Typical of how things work in Ireland, they will however check how much you earn by WORKING every day. What's so difficult about checking bank accounts. Socialist banana republic.

I'm better off than I was. Mortgage, food, etc is all cheaper and my wages has gone up.

why should people who have, in the majority of cases, paid tax on the money they have earned which has been in turn been saved have to declare it if claiming from the gov? Get up the yard will ya!

especially considering to get these savings they had saved, initially to pay all sorts of taxes for

and then the frigging savings interest gets taxed as well!

    unbelievable

    €310 savings

Quite bleak and depressing really. I can pay the bills and the rent and keep a roof over my head so I guess that is all that matters but it isn't nice reading :(

Outgoings P/M €1200 (loan, petrol, insurance, shopping, rent etc)
    Credit Card: €400 (was €900)
Overdraft €130 (used to be €500 a month)
Loan €12,500 (paid €4000 off this since January)
Savings €1500 (up from €1000 since january)

So... struggling, but as you can see, I am slowly pulling myself out of the slump.

I am never getting myself into any more debt after I clear my current obligations.

Well if they have money why are they claiming...that's why it's a socialist banana republic, the people who pay for everything are the ones who are working hard, nobody else gets checked properly according to their assets. Get up the outhouse with ya.

Looks like you have things moving in the right direction. While it is nice to have savings, I'd use some of it to clear your credit card in full. It's the dearest form of credit and any deposit interest could never match it. Same with the overdraft. The money you save will soon reinstate your balance on deposit

So let me get this straight, you're receiving €700/week (dole + local farmer), free medical card, rent is €33.70/week, that's disgraceful, do you not feel like a piece of crap? I am literally livid from reading that post, livid. My brother and sister are both on the dole, they can just about survive on €200/week. I'm still in college and I'm given 6 grand per year to live on, 6 grand! I have to live in Dublin for a whole calender year and I'm given 6 grand to live on. It's people like you that are the reason why the government will cut dole payments and every other support mechanism. It won't affect you because you've got a job which pays €500/week but for the rest of us who haven't a hope of a job in this God forsaken sh*t hole, banana republic of a country it just means hardship and debt. I hope you get reported, but you probably wont it'll be the local village idiot on the dole working the odd job who will get reported.

    €16,000 in loans
€2,500 overdraft (interest free...for now )
€6,000 to the 'rents (interest free...I hope)

Working on an essentially voluntary basis overseas so already in the hole each month before I even look at my debts.

Good wage, job secure now (was touch & go since January) & can pay all bills.

sickening. people are going without and you're claiming dole even though you don't need it. you can say you're just looking after your family but if my mam was doing that i'd be ashamed of her. i'd lose all respect for her. although you're probably raising your poor kids to be every bit as scummy as you.

wasting money on a course? you're a complete idiot. did you actually think people here were going to think you were some sort of legend? i find it hilarious that you want to give your family "what you never had", when in reality with a turd like you in front of them all day, your children will likely inherit your idiocy.

no, just where i am at the moment cant get a job at my trade, there good plasterers and not so good and i'm in that category so when i get a job from a contravtor normally it only lasts a short time, now in the last few years there was plenty work for loads of us, but not at the moment hopefully things will pick up and i can get back on the tools,

as for now the guy i work for will not go legit,
what do u suggest i do tell him stick it and go without, or would you be in favour of ratting:rolleyes:
