I'm the French C programmer. By the way did you say you program in COBOL? Cause that's what I think I heard, not sure.
I dabble in COBOL and a few of the other Arcane Dark Arts. I've even had to trawl through boxed of punch cards. But mostly I get other people to do that for me now while I go back to the true roots of databasing and I shuffle paper around the desk.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Twas a successful boards beers night out alright.

Good meeting a load of the thunderdomers : Captain Darling, Slidey, Degsy. Also Tri, Kag, Terry, Wibbs, SmileyPaul & AgentSmith. Sorry I didn't mingle more now...

Maybe a pub quiz with randomly choosen teams on the night would mix people up and break up the natural groups / cliques.

    See. He's not me.

also, pub quizzes are always fun.

Pub quizzes do sound fun, but unfortunately it seems like most questions aren't meant to be answerable by foreigners (too much stuff only the Irish or British can know), people who don't have a TV or people who don't care much about any form of football, or any other sport for that matter. :(

Untrue if monkeyfudge does the questions.
The last one had a really good mix of questions.

I doubt we could have a pub quiz in Karma though. It's not really the place for it.

Whose friend was I talking to?
She was a nice girl, but wasn't a boardsie.

Pub quiz would be a great idea, could be good fun if we went by CreepingDeaths suggestion of randomly putting the teams together.

That would be mine, Terry. The girl in the white dress with the blondy brown hair? Her name is Georgina - she's my best mate.

She thought you were great too.

There was a lot of love in Karma on Saturday!:D

I talked to a girl who said she was a boardsie's friend, or rather she talked to me. Are you talking about the dark blonde girl who said she was a publicist at RTE or something?

Ah yes. I was happy to act as the hate magnet for the evening... I'm good for keeping all the agro on me... I'm a born tanker.

Ha.. that's not what you said on the night... The amount of abuse I got... haha.. I'll be making the questions easier next time around.

There's another fundraising pub quiz coming up in Dame Lane again next week by the way. A lot of the boards.ie drama group will be there.

Oh yes... and it was lovely to me you, Trí. I'll be sure to listen out for your radio show.

    Yeah. That was her.
I can't remember what we were talking about though.

In saying that, I'm not surprised she though I was great.
    I'm awesome.

Although favoritism shouldn't be encouraged, I am happy my name was mentioned first! :pac:

It was loud enough so that you had to lean over the shoulder of the person you wanted to talk with, put your lips close enough to their ear so they could feel your breath on their cheek. Lovely if you're talking to Moon or Pika or Kiera et al, not so lovely fun if it's Wibbs or Agent or OldGoat. :)
I spent most of the time outside with the smokers simply so I could talk and HEAR what they had to say.
