In the higher Geog paper, it had a river going through Germany, and asked me to name it. I hadn't got a clue, so I had a guess at The Berlin River (creative?)

    Any ideas what it was?

I didn't do that q but I think you would have had to base it on the map, like it was there because of three reasons, eg
    The sea, for trade
If it was low land (can't remember) then maybe for agricultural reasons.
If it was the lowest bridging point .. etc etc.

I'd say the case studying isn't right as they specifically asked about Wicklow. Sorry :(
Ahhh those are the exact ones I used! :D And I thought I was completely waffling going on about how it was a lowland area. Good stuff!

Hmm well it says in my geog book that they are renewable - i.e. a source that will never run out if used wisely ..

In maths I got 3c part 1 and 2 but not 3. How many marks would you say I'll lose? I did attempt it though

Looking at 2008 marking scheme for a similar question (but on q4), the last part was worth the same marks as part (i) and (ii), all 5 marks each. An attempt was worth 2 marks, so the max u can lose is probably 5, but you might only lose 3 if you get the attempt marks.

Thanks for that, thought I would lose like 20 haha. Any ideas for the speed question in question 1. I attempted it again but screwed it up?

 Stupid tense on the Irish letter.
How may marks will I lose? The special event I wrote in the past tense. I said I made a new friend. I said that the area is too remote and the weather is bad so they both could be after the fact. I said I like speaking irish. U sed a 2008 date. problem is I said I am in the gaeltacht not was. :(

@Rexsplode: Judging by what other people have said to me, a lot. But I mean is it a Irish test or is it a read the question test.I think if you showed that you did know how to use the past tense they might let you away with it because half the planet seems to have done the same thing.

Well question 1 part c is usually worth 15 marks, so it depends - did you get the first part of it right? I think attempts on that question (on distance/speed/time) will only amount to 5 marks. Check past paper marking schemes on www.examinations.ie for similar questions.

Well I said the formula speed =distance/time only I used the wrong units. I put time in seconds and kilometres in metres. I followed the method but using wrong units and I got the method for part 2 right using my answer from part 1 only in different units. What do you think?

I seem to be the only one who got Brand A .. :S
I didn't use the part of the table that said how many bars there were because it said the price per GRAM ..

I'd say you won't lose many. you'll get 3 marks or 7 marks for attempt anyway

Yeah it should be easy enough. I'd say trigonometry and co-ordinate geomatry cos they're easy marks once you know the formulas

Question about the pythagoros therom question!

I got my answer as .34 or -1.34 and 'apparently' it's .37 or -1.37. I was .03 out so must have been an estimation error. Would I even be penalized for such a small error if it even is an error?
