Im fairly happy with Irish Paper 2, Studied poetry and studied Prós were easy as hell, I could of wrote for any of the themes If I wanted to... I chose Oige and Gra

Unseen Prose was pretty reasonable, not too bad. Unseen poetry was an absolute nightmare, did not understand any of either poem.

The 4 final reading comprehensions were difficult but I think I did pretty good in them.

Litir was the easiest thing ever, 2 things you enjoyed and didnt enjoy and one special event at a gaeltacht.
    2 Pages of that easy.

Its a nicely balanced paper, roll on geography...

none of the studied pros themes i studied came up so i just kinda waffled to make a story about bron and bas about oige...

i found the last 4 comprehensions kinda hard..
i had time at the end so i did all 4.

i was pretty happy with the paper overall.
the letter was very, very easy.
    hoping for my A!

geography now, should be easy enough

Irish today was too easy! Prose was easy, unseen & studied, same for poetry. Comprehensions were OK but I guessed a few. The letter was just unreal easy! I did the one about the Gaeltacht and wrote just over a page.

    P1 was even easier!

The pool question in maths killed me, I haven't seen anything like that come up in recent papers and I didn't know if x was time or a percentage or what
I couldn't get the final part but when it's explained to you it's very simple. x is 12 I think.

I was super happy with geog!i answered Q1,3,5...could have ans all 5...if only i had the time but i couldnt believe how easy it was!:):P

Irish was good, the themes for the studied poetry and novel were brilliant and the unseen pros was easy BUT I'm sure I wrote my Irish letter in the wrong tense. Which is quite bad. Geography short questions were piss easy and I'd say I did alright in the long questions except I completely forgot my irrigation case study so I just waffled on about resevoirs and recreation. But yeah, not a bad day

Did you write from the gaeltacht rather than writing than writing like you had been there. That's what I did. :(

The themes in the studied story didn't work for me but I did the first question instead. Hope I understood it right :pac:

It's comparing it to the unseen story isn't it?

Paper 1..i freaked when i saw the reading comp...like it was so weird?
the essay titles were so random too...i had to scrap my planned story and did magical moments from childhood..kinda freaked because i had to make it up on the spot..:confused:did the letter in functional writing, which it seems like not many ppl did? i thought twas piss easy, ...and media, well i did the shoes because i had already taped that poster to me wall! haha
paper 2...studied play was brilliant! i had learned off an answer for question one from 2004 for Romeo and juliet. it was basically the same so hoping to get an unreal mark for that.:P...studied poetry was PERFECTTT i had only studied one poem..dulce et decorum est and like other ppl said it was drilled inta me head for the last 2 years!:D:Dwhen i saw war poem i was like ;)oooh ya...studied novel to kill a mockingbird did same thing as romeo and juliet..learned off answer from question from basicaly same year ages ago .

maths: no comment  what the hell? could they not have given us a normal SIMULTANEOUS ??????????????????????????
they better downgrade it to like...2 marks because NOBODY i know got it not even the mathematical genius'..

irish...tape was sooooo easy. paper one GRAAAAND :cool:was super happy
    paper 2 tho
christ i had very little time..guess i spent too much at prose and poetry because i didnt do the tasks well in the letter and i could have made it UNREAAAL with like 5 more minutes.:(

What Q you on about? I had no problems with anything in Maths except the thing about the pool.

We'll see about P II in Irish tomorrow. If its as easy as Paper One then its obvious that the exameners wanted not to put too much pressure and stress on the students because of the recession :pac:

haha..why would that matter? then why did they give us a hard maths 1?

yeah the pool one...and i did something reaaaly stupid in question 1...i said distance=speed divided by time
that was such a stupid thing to do

l'm actually most disappointed with Geography so far... of course some parts were incredibly easy but some of the short questions required me to actually *know* things so l couldn't do alot of them :pac: Anybody have answers?

That wasnt a simaltaneous equation. It really was easy when you see the solution:mad: I might possibly have done that too:o Can't remember.

The only one I had to actually think about was labelling the climates because I have no idea of them.

yeah but it was meant to be a simultaneous one like every year there usually is one (and theyre quite simple) but they thought they'd mix it up this year.
my maths teacher says they'll make the first part of the pool section like 10 marks and the other 2 5 marks each because seems to me like nobody got it.

Didn't get the settlements one either  Never heard of either (due to not listening in class probably) so just kind of made up some stuff. What were the climates? Think I said Polar (lol), Tropical and Desert (lol again).

the first climate was tundra, the last was equatorial
    cant rem. the second
and the answer for the deposition/erosion one was definitley the 3rd box:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭millington

    No it's normally an algebraic fraction equation eg 40/x - 40/x+1 = 90

funnily enough, afterwards i went home being like 'oh ya..defo an A' and my sister started doing solutions and i freaked! got what i thought was so perfectly right WRONG! cried.. i love maths you see
