Isnt he sweet though? Just want to rub your knuckles into his wee head little brother fashion and give him money for flying saucer sweeties so you can watch him being scraped from the ceiling in not a patronising way at all. Im auld enough to haven given birth to him the wee whippersnapper....
hahaha. actually, im a big boy now and i dont need sweets. i recently quit my addiction.
More like throw him over your knee and spank him LOL

    :eek::eek::eek:
 (picturing it in my head smiley haha)
We are the same age me and young Smyffers!
haha i just thought that i was older but then i remembered otherwise. im glad i prefer older women ;):pac:

I'm beyond impatient now and have moved into obsessive mode; everytime a see a cop car I go into wonderland and start daydreaming of the one day I may be driving that car and working in my ideal career.....
PSNI has said in the past some vettting forms may take up to 12 months:(
Does anyone know if there are Oct/Nov/Dec, etc intakes???

Yeah I did. Mine took over a year, but I'm from Dublin so vetting had to be done by the Gardaí. All you people moaning about waiting a few months are just lightweights. I'm hardcore... I mean over a year!!! Imagine my nerves?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 68 ✭✭Track

I'm 8 months waiting now but the more I read on these boards I reckon I will be well over a year as well (unless they determine mine inconclusive:eek:). I wonder if they use Interpol as a resource to trace where you've lived in the past......

I'm only waiting about 6 odd months so far on this but until I know its still more than enough to make me a nervous mess. This is because of past events where I was strung along on vetting for something else for over a year and lied to and then told to F off and never once given any explanation as to what the reason was despite repeated data protection access requests to files relating to moi. Finally got the idea to use same act on vetting in Thurles who were cooperative only to my shock to find out that some total eegit had listed me with a conviction (funny that you would think I'd have remembered a court appearance at least). So having had someone cock up records that badly on me before and caused about a year and a half of totally wasted time you can imagine it does have certain implications for my sanity now :D

eek mutter man...thats an awful story!!
Maybe there was some fate related reason for that happening to you.:D

Well it certainly wasn't fun but so far I've had it no worse than anyone else here. all in the same boat etc my nerves are just a bit pre frayed :D. As for fate well at least it has spared me in other ways hah:D

You sir have just saved my sanity! I can now slightly relax until at least that time has passed. With any luck I'll get word somewhere between now and that point. sanity certainly has gone for a walk here alright, overknee spankings and who knows what else :D:D

No worries buddy, there was at least one other in my squad that had been waiting 9 months so dont be stressing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 507 ✭✭✭bc84

think they may be ongoing at the minute, i know a theres a few already in the july intake, not sure if thats through deferals or what though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 68 ✭✭Track

I think those are all deferrals so far? I haven't heard of any fresh calls lately; think I heard some one say they do them 6 weeks prior to the start date, which might make it June......??????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 507 ✭✭✭bc84

Im that sad that I have the calls in my diary for going out in June....But dont quote me. My diary is never right...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 285 ✭✭mutter_man

Well roll on June but whatever happens I want a call at the latest for September I'm hoping. All I've got to do is just keep it together which is a little easier by just detaching and switching off.

Guys please read the announcement. Please don't give out exact dates, or exact numbers of weeks. It makes it easy to guess intake dates.

    It's for everyone's safety.

yep we've all deferred, theres currently 5 of us atm, hpefully it packs up some more with more boardies! it always used to be 6 weeks but they slightly changed it they could be sooner than you expect never know, the dates the calls went out for other intakes surprised a lot of us;)

Nah mate, med cleared but vetting 'on-going'; just biting my nails in the waiting room for the moment. Longest wait of my life! I should be ok once vetting gets through my paper work as my merit isn't too bad. No one seems to know the logic or system that vetting follows as it has been a random roller-coaster so far. Holding my breath for July though.....

Good point psni, sorry for the amateur mistake

I got word at the weekend that i passed my med:), & i know that my vetting is cleared so i take it that i should hang about here for a bit then til i get 'the call' ! (that's if i get it)

So is this where peeps in my position hang, as in, those who are waiting for 'the call'? Also, if you pass your med & vetting is it almost done that the next part is 'the call'?

I have a feeling that i may have to wait for a bit anyways, whats the longest anyone in here has been waiting after having passed everything?

I'll just pull up one of these waiting chairs then, well here we go:rolleyes:.. They do like to keep you waiting about like don't they, although i must say, i was very surprised when i got the results of my med three days after doing it:eek:, apart form that, lots of waiting indeed:(.

dya know, after all the waiting so far, you'd think 3 days for a med result wouyld be easy but its driving me insane already. did mine at the end of last week and im counting down the days to wednesday / thursday time
