People get better at things when they practise. The more you practise, the better you get.

You'll find the naturally gifted child prodigy at maths/chess/the piano/golf has been doing little else for the bulk of their life. It's called the 10000 hour rule. You can actually google that term.

    Talent? Schmalent.

I'm working my ass off at my MA. :)

People are lucky to have talents. I have absolutely no discernable talents. I dont even have any pastimes or passions.

Im a sad example of a human really.

I can make a person hate a movie/TV show I hate just by watching it with them

    Ok, my ego's turn:

I am very good at mental arithmetic, like I can divide decimal numbers into other decimal numbers in seconds

Advanced command of the English language, and a freakish sponge-like memory for word definitions. I often drop words into converstions that I've never even consciously thought about before, but I've obvously taken them on subconsciously at one stage.

Excellent singing voice, very wide range and extremely good control. Have been told to "f*ck off" when I first sang for one of my (now) best mates who has travelled the world singing in operas when I told him I'd never had any classical training.

Good dancer, have had same sentiment as above directed at me.

Played snooker for Ireland about 8 years ago, but will plead the "10000 hour" rule on that one. 8 hours a day during some of my teen years.

Very good natural footballer when I was younger, can (could) do some crazy kickup stuff.

Lots more, Im essentially the perfect human being.

I'm a speed reader - I read about twice as fast as most normal people do. I'm also pretty good at maths (despite being a CS student rather than a maths one) and I'm good at remembering very small details about certain things.

I'm also rather amused that half the similar threads to this are from the WoW forum.

Yes. By the 10000 hour rule, if you practise 10000 things for one hour each you'll be meh at all of them. :D

By controlling the sphincter muscle I can dump out the most viscious of skutthers and leave my badge clean as a nun's knickers.

All it takes is practice and strong glutes:cool:

I find breathing comes quite natural to me. I don't have to concentrate on it or anything!

Except if I'm put under any physical pressure, or if I panic, then I actually forget to breath. Never good especially if you're underwater at the time.

I have an eye for things, something strange, something unique, something beautiful...
Everything else requires working my rear off to get good at.

I am pretty good at shooting, only thing I can think of at the moment.

I used to be good at hurling, woodwork and canoeing, but it has been a very very long time :P

Sleeping in bed isn't a talent, unlike sleeping in a bathtub, you need specials skills for that! Special drunken skills!

Oh yeah, other than the tying things into knots with my tongue thing, I can read faster than 99.9% of people and picked it up incredibly quickly as a kid, too.. I remember reading Stephen King's "IT" around the age of 8 and only taking a couple days to read it. Book was nearly bigger than me.

    And I'm good with animals.

...unfortunately my people skills have suffered greatly as a result, considering I spent my entire childhood with my nose in books or playing with my dogs instead of socialising... every gift is a curse. :(
