Hopefully you don't have to wait long for vetting to complete Penis Eye!

i was talking to someone who works in Ops Planning today and she said that they are penny pinching everywhere, silly things like no clean handcuffs and a shortage of trousers! This person reckoned this was adding to the delay in vetting

Just started recently myself after recovering from a chest infection. At the minute I literally can't run the length of myself, so that'll need to improve. I at least need to be able to keep up with old man carlty on these runs. :P

You're more likely to make a pit stop at the pub Carlty! :D

Seriously tho, these runs are killing me! Did one last night and my legs and ankles are hurting me like a b*tch today :(

Still on for tomorrow's run sire? :D

I'm probably even more likely to stop off at the chippy rather than the pub. :p

I might have to give the run a miss for tomorrow night as I'm still dosed with the cold and I don't want to make it worse. :(

I'll wait and see what the weather's like how I feel tomorrow before deciding though. :D

At least you all have done the 3 miles, I am still stuck at 2 miles. Really can't see how I can do more, 2 miles and I wanna crawl up and die.

It's a lot easier to do the 3 miles when you have DownMTber and Silver_X draggin' you behind them. I had to walk a fair chuck of the distance too. :(

You should come out running with us. I'll make you feel so much better about yourself. :D

Believe me you have not seen anything yet.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will be last in this run, well just behind the twin shot putters.

Actually, I've heard that their stamina's very good. Squirrel's already been warned that they can go non-stop all night. :D

come on peeps! I hate running but I did a bit of training for a uni club so i know about fitness - you should definately walk/run for the full 3 miles everytime you go out, aiming to run more each time, at least 3 times a week. But you should also try to do a longer session at least once a week of at least 50 mins to get your aerobic fitness up, swimming or whatever you want. it will help with the running. whats the time limit on the 5k anyway?

another tip - invest in some TUNES!! sometimes they are the only things that get me going!

Oh god you sound so full of energy, you must be young. I am too old and set in my ways for any of this lark.

50mins of runnning, jesus I would need to be revived.

I am going to laugh so much when you 2 boys get nightmare room mates, maybe they will be goth rockers.:D

A goth rocker? That just wouldn't work. See, if the girls aren't allowed make-up and silly hair, I doubt the boys will be. I might just have be the nightmare room mate myself. :D

The 50 minutes Susie was refering to doesn't necessarily have to be running. It could be any other sport.

PS. I think the 5k is to be run in 32 minutes.

32 minutes is sweet. thats a ten minute mile. hehe. as long as the route doesn't have too many hills!

yeah 50 mins to an hour or so of something you actually enjoy once a week will definitely help the old running as well as save your knees. i like the cross trainer in the gym or cycling. ooh that reminds me make sure you have a proper pair of trainers for road running - converse don't count! you can get asics on ebay for about 40 quid.

I can manage 50mins at the gym no bother. I am going 6 times a week now, for 1 hr 30min.

My life is pretty sad at the minute, its pretty much work-gym-sleep.

Well then 3 miles should be a piece of pish! especially in under 32 mins.

oh, me too, I find it so easy. In fact, i wonder if you get bonus points for managing 10k in 32 minutes?;)

I just find running so much harder than say 30 mins on the cross trainer.

You are such a show off Squirrel:)
