Yeah there were a few unhappy campers in the X-Factor house given that Diana performed that song during boot camp.

It's not his song, it's Leonard Cohens.

    Diana > Alex > Ruth > JLS > Ewok

I really wish Eoghan had gone, such an annoying little twat with the weakest voice of all the solo acts in this years competition. (apart from Daniel)

Anyway, Simon Cowell was spot on in the first week with the marmite love/hate comment about Diana, I don't really know anyone who thinks she's average, people seem to either think she's brilliant (like myself) or they just can't stand her voice.

At the end of the day, she's the most unique of the lot, Alexandra is clearly the best vocally, but she's basically another (less impressive) Leona Lewis, which seems pointless to me. Diana should win, I think she'd definitely have the best and longest career out of them all.

Ruth getting voted off, what a joke.

An annoying twat with a weak voice? And you think Diana should win? Slightly contradicting.

    True..

.. yet the Jeff Buckley cover is undoubtedly the most popular and well known.

as you say above its not jeff buckley song - it won't be anyone song after the final if it is butchered and diana is not unique

When Diana sang 'Smile' I really thought she had star quality and something really special but since then and much as I hate to agree with Louis, I think its all been more of the same, getting bored with it now

I actually dont give a shiit what happens now

Absolutely gutted about Ruth not getting through

Laura gettin the boot wasnt even a shocker, but this really got to me

Not only was she consistently good the last few weeks, but she was the best / joint with Alex, and they both gave 2 amazing, good vocal performances

Whereas the rest gave one shiit one, and one barely-half-decent one

I really hope she gets a break, and cant wait to see her at the concert

Fvck Miley Cyrus bein a "rock chick", Ruth is the real deal

    I'd say Ruth > Alex >> Diana > Eoghan = JLS.

I neither love nor hate Diana. "Man In The Mirror" and "Smile" were both fairly good performances.
"Call Me" was ok - it wasn't a patch on the original but I'm thankful that she didn't completely murder it as it's one of my favourite songs.

Since then it's been totally downhill for her.

God forbid they should engage in the act of song writing and come up with something original, rather than piggy back on the success of others.

Most passionate singer in the contest gone, I'm going down the local to watch Match of the Day after this. Alex should win if there's any justice left.

Devestated re Ruth. Definitely would buy an album from her. If Alex doesn't win, I'm going to... I don't know... write a strongly worded letter of complaint! I would definitely engage in some sort of boycotting. I wish it was on really late so as to cut out all the teeny bopper voters, doubtful that would happen.

Disappointed re Britney's performance, it was so hyped up & all over in 2 mins & didn't look like any effort put into making sure it was good.

Can someone tell me what ftw stands for? It's probably really obvious but brain is fried from digesting the illogicalness of tonight's show results

It's true, i don't think that was Britneys greatest performance, but others she's done in the last few days have been quite good, esp the one in france http://perezhilton.com/category/britney-spears/

Gutted about Ruth, thought she was amazing. Diana needs to go, and wear some shoes once in a while. She's NOT joss stone thank you very much. And def NOT a hippy.... she's carefully styled to work her way into the hearts of all the grannies watching!

I am completely sick of Diana now
Her voice was really different to start off but its turned into a noise like a cat being strangled , can you imagine listening to a whole album of her songs
And the weird faces and pretend sign language drive me mad
    I hope she goes soon
Think Alex should win ,judging by her performance of Listen tonight she will be hard to beat

Now you're just confusing me. You say he's allowed to.. yet you were the one who said he'd no right to judge her...

If you merely disagreed with him, that's fair enough. But you said (and I quote):

Yessssssss and what I meant is that perhaps his opinion would be more valid if he had the similar success that Britney Spears has achieved. Until then he just smacks of yet another begrudger using the girl's profile to boost his own.

    That. Is. All.
Can we leave it there now?
    Cheers :)

I know I actually backed her at 8/1 before she was even in the final 12:D

JLS should have gone, they were terrible. That and Louis' desperation to keep them in are driving me insane.

Ruth didn't deserve to go but I've been saying all week she'll be the next one off. She's been in the bottom tow a million times, the (voting) public didn't want her there, but the judges saved her anyway, which I totally agree with, but she was always going to go once the public had full control.

Personally, I love Diana, have done from the start. She hasn't been the same since the whole laryngitis (or however one goes about spelling it) thing though... I think she'll win, because I reckon its all a total fix anyway... But I sort of agree with Louis, she's getting a bit boring... I wanted her to do a more uptempo Britney song, and move even a little bit, but it was more of the same :(

In the Xtra Factor seemed to be a lot of coldness towards Diana from the other contestants, don't think anyone likes her, then again if all the voters hated her she should have been in the bottom two this week. thought she murdered Everybody hurts and didn't finish it correctly missing a couple of words. Devistated that Ruth went, I suppose as she didn't have a home town or city to vote for her she was always going to go :( She has a great voice on her and should do well in the Uk or even back in Spain.
