    cheers I just did,
did they come with an post, or was it different as it was a heavy item?

I got it delivered to work and wasn't in when it was delivered. Never checked. Don't think it was an post as it came late in the day.

Todays boffer (Sunday 5th October) is a 32" Technosonic for £199 - comes to about €260 or so delivered. Its grade A stock but that's still cheap for a 32" HD readty LCD. Was very tempted but I couldn't justify it (no real need).

Sure is a good price. It's a chance though, with only 90 day warranty. This is the same "brand" that Tesco used to sell.

I would want at least a year on those before I would even consider one.

The Mirai in Tesco for ?100 more with a 3 year warranty is a much better option IMHO.

The TV is sold out now any way! Looked like a good deal to me with built-in Freeview. I'm assuming that will be useful when Irish TV network goes digital in 2020.

Not really as Ireland intends to use a different system to the UK.

No its useless for the Irish DTT system which will be here long before 2020, its already operational on a test basis in Dublin with RTE,TV3,TG4 broadcating in Mpeg4

That's disappointing, but sounds right. It makes perfect sense to use a different digital broadcast system to our nearest neighbour with 60 million TV sets and hundreds of English language channels.
The year 2020 is just my estimate, adding the usual extra 10 year Irish government lag on anything to do with technology.

It makes more sense to use the latest technology available as they have done in France and several other countries. I dont see how its disappointing but its OT so perhaps more relevant to the terrestrial forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=56

    Yeah, agreed.

Yet I've got more bargains off Boffer than I have off most bargain sites.

I agree, s**** with gimmickry thrown in, that at the start was amusing, but now is wearing thin and becoming irritating. :(

Baught the ipod dock! Seems reasonable price and my first boffer purchase, tbh most of the reason for this purchase was alcohol related :D

Make sure the password is greater than 6 characters long, and doesn't have any odd symbols.

Make sure to only use numbers (0-9) and / or letters (a-z,A-Z).

Boffer sells crap*, and some times its quite cheap. So cheap crap*? Yes.
But some times there are things in there you might use. Todays offer of 5 x 2gb Micro SD cards for 19.27 delivered is quite okay. Just think of others and you might pick up a cheap Christmas gift or something.

    * crap.... a wise (if smelly) man once said "one mans crap is another mans treasure.." etc
