    Boffer

OK.. so as we all learned on the Nike watch thread yesterday (they sold all 180 units in 46 seconds), this site is getting popular so details of tonight's freebie (and something extra) have just been announced.

If you want any chance of getting the products, be at your computer practically constantly refreshing the page around 10.59 (the time the freebie goes live) and around 11.59 if you want to see what the suprise item is..
    Boffer One:

This is the one you have all been waiting for it’s the Freebie.

    boffer_memory_offer.jpg

We have 900 mixed MMC cards which we are giving away. The vast majority of them are 256 Meg there’s a few 512megs and a few 1 Gig Cards thrown in for good measure. It’s a lucky dip you get whatever comes up. Its free no delivery no carriage to pay. It’s only available to registered member so register now.

    Q) Why are we giving them away?
    A) We don’t think anyone will buy 512meg MMC cards so….. what chance have we got of selling 256 Meg MMC Cards??

    Boffer Two

This is the one you have been waiting for…. We have a surprise boffer coming up at 11.59PM to see what it is click the video here. You will have to come back to the site at 11.59PM to see what ludicrously cheap price we are selling it for.

As you are aware the Boffer site gets very busy so please make sure you are registered before the offer goes live. Click here to register.

I want to get one of the MMC cards, but I can see a way of claiming them and there's no indication that they've run out of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Don't think I have any gadgets that accept MMC.. if they were SD, I'll be grabbing them!

I got the photo paper from boffer today, it was delivered by a courier who rang my house for directions. Huge box it was in too, my mam was curious. :)

Very few really. It's lost out to mini/micro SD.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,738 ✭✭✭mawk

is the delivery definitely 2.99? because their sister site (which incidentally has those memory cards on sale for £1.50) ships to Ireland but has a minimum postage cost of £16 or something silly and high like that

I was suspect of it too.. but it's £2.99 for the time being anyways.

They'll probably increase in the near future.

I got one of the Iqon computers for £98. And before anyone says anything, I'm aware of the limitations of the machine ;). I need a new DL DVD drive anyway and with the 160Gb drive its worth it IMHO.

Anyhoo, I was charged £2.99 delivery for that also, but it hasn't be dispatched yet so fingers crossed.

BTW, anyone know what type RAM that machine takes. Iqon doesn't show up on any of the RAM selectors.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,776 ✭✭✭podge3

Well, the Iqon has been posted for £2.99. Best delivery price I ever got :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Just a reminder, the freebie is going online in the next few minutes so be ready!

And as for what's for sale at 23.59, watch the video in my original post through to the very end!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Jaysus.. I can't be the only who got one.. am I?

EDIT: Obviously not... I'm afraid the only way to get offers on this site is to refresh every 2 - 3 from a minute before the item goes on sale.

They only allow registered members to buy freebies alright..

What looks like a VHS Player will go on sale at 11.59.. well, something along those lines I'd say.

Well, I only decided to register when the deal went live which was stupid of me because they were gone in a matter of seconds. Are they selling or giving away the VCRs?

The VCR in the video looks like this one on the sister site. I could be completley wrong though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

    Quite possibly.. and very likely!

Any bets on a price? I'm betting £4.99 (with £2.99 shipping)! :D Still not cheap enough to warrant a purchase of a VCR in my eyes.

We'll know in 10 minutes or so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 191 ✭✭jvc

If i got it for 10 euro all in i might be tempted!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

I've a few VHS tapes.. but think they've all been upgraded to DVD since! :D
