oh, i doubt this will be a problem! they should have thought of a way it can work, after all most of the people won't have cards on Mobday. Apart from that, I am thinking of going unless of course someone turns up with a better idea . :P

    A conundrum indeed.

My brother use to work in the old bar and i was asking him about this and i was telling him they were on during orientation and he says normally you'd need bar membership and your student card but you should be ok for orientation as long as your registered and all that jazz!

I just checked it for you.

The timetable it's been changed to is the timetable my class had last year... chances are they're updating it, changing a thing or two around. They've put the old one up to fill the gap.

The timetable up now most likely won't be the one you guys have.

You could asked to be moved on the basis of necessity of work to pay your way through college,,,,you should speak to your Mature Student Advisor. Are you going to the MS Orientation on the 15th??

No. I'm not a mature student. I'm 22; I was considering waiting for a year to join as a mature student and get the grants etc., but I just decided on getting a loan extension.

    Hopefully it'll stand to me!

If this is your second time going to college, you would have had to wait 5 years before you would have been eligible

    YESSSS!

Just registered for second year, no hassle at all... and best of all IT LOOKS LIKE I GOT VIDEO PRODUCTION!

    I'm absolutely delighted!

Also they've added a Publication Design module into the second semester as an option for definite, so I don't have to do Comparative European Politics! (thanks be to GOD)

So glad I registered early, I got all the best modules :D

My modules seem really interesting this year, way more than last year...

    Module Details
    CM201 Research Methods
    CM202 Media Studies
    CM204 Video Production 1
CM210 Social History and TV Drama
    CM212 Analysing Advertising
    CM213 Media Writing & Expression
    CM214 Video Production 2
    CM261 Crime and the Media
    CM272 Ireland and National Cinema
    CM330A Publication Design

Congrats to you! Glad you got what you wanted! Im interested in the Crime and Media, Analysing Advertising but the Radio Stream me thinks. Publication Design sounds interesting but I'm a Graphic Designer so that would just be lazy of me lol.

    Congrats again

Hope I get an exemption. I did it already and wouldn't be too keen on sitting through it again! :pac:

I see te homepage has a register now banner there now. Can we actually register now, or do we have to wait 'til the 10th?

Registration is open for continuing students, it doesn't open for first years til the 10th.

What course did you do before? Is Research Methods that bad?! Have to say, it doesn't sound that pleasant...

I was doing General Nursing, so I'd imagine I won't get an exemption as I'd say they're somewhat different methods of reasearch.

It was a serious pain in the hole, not helped by poor knowledge and information given to us on the subject by our lecturers. The average score was something like 52% in our class, I think.

T'was everybody's least favourite class. It was joked that the swipe-card system was only brought in there so as people would turn up to that class.

At least this time I won't be researching the ever-so interesting subjects of Florence Nightingale and Pressure Sore Formation. :pac::D
