The only club called the Underground I know of was directly accross the road from Sides.DC. You went in the front door and straight down a flight of stairs. The image below was over the front door. (Pretty sure I have a bit of video somewhere aswell.)

Here are links to Jay Careys 'IGNORANCE TAPE I' which im sure everybody has but heres a story attached to it.........

http://www.mediafire.com/?bvz120motv1 ignorance pt 1 (jay carey
http://www.mediafire.com/?d139y4jdefw ignorance pt 2 (jay carey

Long weekend in August 95 or 96 not quite sure now but we are heading to Tramore for it......

First port of call is to a mates Apartment in rathmines where the new at the time built hotel was, anyway we had copious amounts of Doves, Dots n bars of soap;) & had inteneded just to have a drinking session there before we went off the next day on the train but i had a load of tapes on me as & stuck ignorance on which in turn led to the Doves taking flight....Rave all night in the apartment & then we made our way on to the roof top of the Apt hotel complex which had a 3-4foot high perimeter walled kind of garden on it & had a bit more of a rave for 1 or 2 hours while the sun came right up....after about 9 ish we got more Doves & bought an old liteace for £150 between 6 of us & went on our merry way

Half way to tramore the old van decides 'i'm not hauling six mad out of heads all the way to Tramore at my age' & splutters to a stop...after 1 or two minute trying to turn the engine over she springs back to life & we tear off down the road in her only for the same to happen again anyway this went on for about 5 or 6 times & lo & behold we came across a garage in the middle of nowhere...the chap altough probably never seeing a sight of 6 up all night on about 5 or 6 Doves mad out of it heads dived into the engine for us & by passed the oil filter to get us going again....if he reading this thanks a million man:D:D:D

Got to waterford city in the van with me mate driving with his top off cause the weather was great Tattoos all over him we get pulled in by DS & after a frenzy in the back stuffing Wraps & Doves Ect. into the side panels in the back of the van we stop & open up the hatch....must have been like the Night of the living E heads emerging from the van aroud 2 or 3 O'Clock sat. everyone going about there business....DS tore all the bags & jackets Ect. out of the van & found some 'Soap' which split six ways worked out at a 5 each we had to accept or they wernt letting us go anywhere....the aul good cop bad cop routine was never more on display as here with one cop saying 'Look lads just accept a 5 each & you can go on your way' & the other cop with shades on showing a pistol by holding back his jacket saying 'Your all going into the cells for the weekend' all the while were amused as fu.ck cause we still have the Dots stashed in our bags & the van is full of Doves:p.....we all took the rap for a 5 each & we were free:)

Cant for the life of remember how we got from Waterford city to Tramore but i do remember we started taking the Dots:pac: as soon as we got out of the station & eventually got to a beer garden in tramore where we met up with a load more of our mates who had a big radio blaring out tunes....i said i would stick on a belter of a tape to get the whole place going & FU.CK i left the IGNORANCE tape in the radio of the Van:mad: Now i had other tapes like ED CASE Triple XXX & PARSLEY & THYME LIVE @ the ASYLUM but i was bulling i left it in the Van....

Partied hard for the two days we were there & when we went to get the train home we had missed the last one to Dublin...the only way we could get home was to get a bus to Kilkenny & hope we made it on time for a last one from ther to Dublin...got to Kilkenny & had enough for a few flagons between us which we got & jumped off the bus on the Naas road where city west is now & after that its a bit of a blur how we made it to Greenhills but im still here:D

    Final thought:

There is a Liteace van somwhere with the side walls full of old Doves....if you own one check the side panels & give us a shout:D:pac:;)

It must've been 91 cos I was at it and and in 1990 I was only 15 and I know I definitely wasn't going to Raves when I was 15, was going to the Apartments.....for shame. Although even 91 sounds too early. I was thinking late 91 or early 92 at a push? My memory that far back is very very sketchy.

    Hi everybody,
Getting back to the Asylum Reunion,
it's s**ty what happened at the awakening, with the old bill and all that,

We should have one in a big shed or a lockup somewhere,
or a house in the middle of nowhere away from the Public,
something like a rented house for the weekend in the middle of nowhere,
just rent if for a day or two, we could all pitch in,
well out of the way of the old bill, but not to far out of Dublin,
it might be a good night,

    Any ideas?????????????????????????????????
