This is what Dublin and Ireland more or less missed out on, im not sure if there's anyone else on this forum (in fact ive rarely even spoken to anyone who was on the scene back then from here) who might have travelled occasionally to Raves in England like Raindance, Fantazia, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, etc ive bene to a few and Rave/Hardcore was the main music, absolutely massive in 1992,i never forget first hearing this @ Helter Skelter:eek: the place went mental this tune epitomises the underground Rave scene in 1992 for me:eek::)

    HARDCORE YOU KNOW THE SCORE:cool:

    Yup Jonny.

Both them vid links are 100% tru skool to me, that's the sort of stuff that made me knuckle down and start my own thing. I said TRU skool cuz I dont agree with that "old-skool" tag when it comes to electronic-house, old-skool to me is Grandmaster / Rock Steady / World Famous Supreme Team / Sugar Hill Gang and the rest, AND yeah I know it's an age thing. Ultimate classics, they'll never get old... EVER. I know there will be a lot of folk that wont agree, but....eh'... fook 'it, thats my bag.

Asylumkey - Thats a nice lil' tape / set you posted,... that REALLY is from way back... ;) Excellent.

I used to go th The Temple (not the temple of sound) along by the quays in 1995, mad techno all night long. Great club, toilets were at the back of the dance floor which was a bit crap though. I am more of a House music man but this **** was good. Always remember the girls walking through the dance floor in the middle of the night with big trays of fresh fruit, pineapple, grapes, watermellon, it was so beautiful when the sweat was pumping off you. Was always scared ****less of Sides and the Assylum, never dared go near them.
These kids dont know what raving was all about. Imaging walking up to a guy you never met and hugging him or even worse hugging his girlfriend now.

The only other club on the quays (near the Temple of Sound) was The Ormond Multimedia Centre so im assuming that's the club you mean, or was it the Temple Bar Music Centre in Temple Bar?

i had some if the best times ever in thw Multimedia Centre, that last ever nite there was one of the all time great nites in Dublin.:)

Story boss, the Temple Of Sound was in the ormond quay hotel, on the right hand side of it, and on the wall at the side of the hotel was the sign painted with a character in a cage, and it said "Temple of Sound"????? , and the trays of fruit etc was deffo in there, That what you're thinking of????

Actually now when i think of it there did used to be birds going around with watermelons and fruit in The Temple Of Sound so maybe that is the club he means after all.

Must have been the temple of sound then, getting confused with the club that opened up a few years later, the temple or something like that.
Hazy days, memories not too clear anymore.

Yes Iv'e noticed that, - not sure at the minute as to why ;),... Is it Mediafire themselves after gettin some new super swift servers OR is it the fact that Eircom.ie are up-grading their network, - any ideas anyone ???? - What company/isp are you using Luke???

PS - Eircom are upgrading existing accounts.
1 - If your on a 1Megabit bundle (thats the 20 hours a month thing) expect a call from the telesales dept asking if you would like to upgrade to a 2 or 3Megabit pack. (There are toooooo many variables with the bundle thing to give advice here)

2 - If your already on a 1, 2 or 3 megabit package, (NOT a bundle) stay shtuck,... your upgrade should kick in automatically in the comming weeks and you'll still pay the same price, (also, dont expect an email or call from eircom to tell you they have upgraded your line / account ;).

3 - I got this info from a crystal ball, (ahem ;) ) so dont hold me to that lads OK - i cant answer any personal questions, just bare with it. - The ball also says the upgrade will depend on what part of the country you live in.... Yes, I know the info may be a bit hazy, but the ball says it's true. The ball has never failed yet.

Finally - I pay for a 2 megabit line, but in the past few days all my speed tests are telling me I have a 3megaebit line. - Happy Days. :p
