Thanks very much for that link.

Woohoo, my number is on the list. And so is the number of the guy I asked to share with so it looks like we're both in!

What exactly is the point of releasing this provisional list? Like if they could release a provisional list, they may as well have just told us for sure. Like, there must be a reason for it.

Anyway I don't care because I'm pretty sure I have my place in Halls now. :D:D:D

No if you're on the list you're pretty much guaranteed a place I think. It's provisional as in we haven't officially accepted the places yet, so presumably a handful of people will end up not accepting and they can offer up those places too in the second round. But if you're on that list you should receive an info pack in the post any day now...

Just, wondering, did you all get emails saying that they had got your entry? 'cause my friend wasn't sure if hers got through so she rang and they said that we should have gotten one. neither of us got emails and neither of us got offered places so...just wondering

I didn't get an email, but I'm on the list.

When I was in halls there was a DIT student who lived on a couch for 9 months before security copped on. He switched between a couple of flats and even got his PC set up so that he could use the internet there!

sure you'll get over it pretty quickly. The speeds are pretty decent though, when the internet isn't down...

Are there ethernet ports that one can use / connect a router to?

yeah there above your desk. I tried hooking up a wireless router but it didn't work (it wanted to reregister to the network or something). There probably is a way it can be done but to be honest I couldn't be assed to fiddle about with it.
