Funny true story, goes back to around 2001. In work there was this nigerian lad and he was cool as fcuk we had some good nights on the tiles. Anyway there was this guy who pretty much nobody liked and he came up to the nigerian lad during break one day as we were all eating lunch. All of a sudden nigerian lad punches him right in the nose and sends him flyin......long story short in the HR hearing it turns out nigerian lad thought he said "What do ye have today sambo?" and knocked him on his ass but because it was word for word it didnt go any further (from what i heard)

That's not true of all African Americans and certainly not true of all black people. A lot of people regardless of colour dislike the term due to its discriminatory and degrading uses in the past. Skanger doesn't come close to being comparable.
