AFAIR Vitae is the possessive cave of vita therefore the single word vitae in Latin translates to English as two words "of life", God it's a long time since my Leaving Cert. :D

Good question for fans of the master of suspense. Add this to it too for real fans; what film did Warren Beatty's big sister make her screen debut in and how did it come about as she was not the originally intended actress for the role.

Hitchcock was in the photo in Dial M for Murder
Shirley MacClaine starred in The Trouble with Harry because Grace Kelly had a contract dispute with MGM

    Q. What was unusual about Clark Gables birth certificate?

But Hitchcock had originally wanted someone called Carol Haney for the role, she was on broadway at the time. Hitchcock sent his Producer to sign her for the role, but the day his assistant went, her understudy (Shirley) was on stage and got signed instead.

I think he was noted as a female by mistake.
