I didn't know this, and I don't know whether or not mine has lost sound as yet. Will check when I get home. Still, a bit of googling and I found that Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings rectifies the sound problem (allegedly).

Yeah i'd really like to know how to do this too! Also can you send a msg to multiple people? I'm also on 1.1.2

I'm also having problems re: phone randomly telling me no sim installed. I got my iphone from unlockthatiphone.com & it has stealth sim inserted. I find that switching the phone on & off solves the problem. Not a massive issue but can be a bit annoying especially if u dont notice & so u miss calls etc!

Install SMSD or iSMS, they are third party apps that allow forwarding, sending to multiple people, deleting single sms etc, works well on 1.1.2

Either do that or use natetrues method if you really want 1.1.3 you can always go back to 1.1.2 if your not happy with it

ordered a turbosim and I'm unlocked on 1.1.2 .. if I go to 1.1.3 is there a chance that the turbosim wont work ?

I got a 1.1.2 OTB iphone for christmas.
I've was checking this thread for a month or two before i got it and have been checking it most days since.
I was going to wait for a s/w unlock but i got a *sim from ebay cheap.
It arrived this morning, and after some inital problems (fixed by iWorld) I'm sorted.
I'm happy with 1.1.2 and not bothered about 1.1.3 tbh, if/when theres a s/w unlock for 1.1.3 ill upgrade to it.

Just wanted to post to say thanx to all who help out here, its a very helpful thread.

im off to get some credit so i can make some more phone calls

f you add this source http://ride4.org/shai.xml it will add alot more sources. In relation to decent wallpapers if you download a program from the installer called wallpaper you will be able to view a lot of different wallpapers, ones that everyone else has. There are some sweet ones available.

A theme that goes well that has some decent icons that are not to large to ruint the wallpaper is called 'be queit'. This theme is only available after you install the above source.

As long as you use either Natetrues or the Dev teams method of updating the turbosim will work

updated the iJailbreak or Nate method???, I've been using 1.1.2 for past 2 days after upgrading from 1.1.1 and have to say the best feature I've just noticed is getting voicemail txts!! hopefully this still happens on 1.1.3

My iPhone is unlocked but when I open itunes to try to put songs onto it, it doesnt let me...I'm doing it manually - ie. just dragging them from my library to the iPhone. Any suggestions as to why this doesnt work?? Or another way of doing it??

iPhone does allow manual copying of songs, the easiest way to do it is to setup a playlist called iPhone or something and manually put whatever songs you want in there, then in the sync options choose to only sync that playlist

Right scrap that, i need to get the name - numbers working. I have been told that i can use iworld or phone no. to name fix now that I am 1.1.2

If this is true, has anybody got the sources for these?

iWorld is for 1.1.2 phone are you sure you are not on 1.1.3

first you need bsd subsystem installed then install openssh on the phone

Then you need an ssh program on your PC or Mac Winscp for PC or cyberduck for the Mac

You then need the IP address of your phone you can get that from settings

Then you pop the IP address into your client the Port is 22 the username is root and the default password is alpine
