    http://www.iphonesimfreer.com/

do they work ok? They seem very good value. Do they work with all sim cards here, vodadone, meteor etc?

    Cheers

On US phones the new version works great on all networks (except 3) they are really quick on delivery as well ordered 3 last friday had them Tuesday morning
if your phone is a UK phone then the older version is hit and miss it may work it might not you would be taking a chance

Sounds good thanks. Yeah i've the new iphone, otb 1.1.2. new bootloader. So it works with vodafone and meteor? I have vodafone sim card at the moment but would like to change to meteor maybe in the future. Is it easy to take the simfreer off the sim card and put it onto another card?

This is a big thread, and I have tried to find the answer without success so please forgive me for asking.....if one was to have the above US 1.1.2 with new bootloader, is the only option to get the likes of Stealth Sim if you want to use the actual phone with an Irish sim? I checked out the iClarified link posted here, but to be honest it didn't clarify anything! If you do get a Stealth Sim or likewise, do you still have to Jailbreak the phone (or what does that do?).

Thats correct, yes - there's no soft unlock, you need to us a purchased piece of hardware.

Jailbreaking allows you to install third party apps on your phone, and bypasses activation through iTunes - you need to both jailbreak and somehow unlock (at the moment just using a hardware solution, although a software unlock is due soon!).

Sure who mentioned O2? maybe it is from the UK ?! Geeez there is a clue you have missed it and it would require some digging but there is a clue

Surely the maintenence required with an unlocked iphonne is'nt worth it? Like being afraid to sync with itunes what if you forget what version you are up/down grading to and it all explodes !!

I suppose you get more 3rd party apps, apart from that i would nt touch it without a garuntee and network support, and even still might not buy it.

I presume you are talking about the date but then why would it show Cingular as the cell provider. Anyone operator releasing a phone wouldn't be the naive!

If you are not sure if you have the 4.6 bootloader then check the serial number of the iPhone. If the 4th and 5th digits are 45 or higher then you have the new bootloader and cannot unlock. Follow this tutorial until an unlock is found. As soon as a software unlock is released I will post instructions so check back.

I read that on iClarified and took it to mean that I couldn't Jailbreak it. Reading it now again, I can follow those instructions to Jailbreak it, but at the end of it, it just won't be unlocked. Is that right?

poppy cock tbh, jailbreaking is safe to do as long as you follow a good guide to do it.

it won't destroy software on your phone, it doesn't come with hidden spyware/virii that plague windows based apps. it's unix based here we are talking about.

someone has just been yanking your chain.

If it is bootloader 4.06 then the only unlock available at the moment is a sim solution like Turbosim Stealthsim or Iphonesimfreer ( if it is a US phone)

If it is bootloader 3.9 then it can be software unlocked.

If the phone is week 45 on then it is 4.06 and even before that it could be 4.06

Hi mate. I believe you are the owner/propertier/trader/whatever of StealthSIM from UnlockThatiPhone.com/StealthSIMEurope.com.

    So I have a question... or 5...

    1) Why does my order show as shipped 29th yet it's still not here (Northern Ireland)
    2) Why does the tracking number provided not exist? I checked with An Post directly.
    3) Why does noone answer emails from your contact page?
    4) Why does noone answer the phone in your office?
    5) Why are you no longer an official dealer on StealthSIM.com dealer page?

Now I have read great things about your company/hobby and it's made me choose to purchase through it... this however is not good business accumune to ignore your customer. Can you please provide me with an update. I should never have been forced to post on a public forum to attract your attention.

    Thanks.

Well you do not have much choice if it is a US phone then it can only be officially activated by AT&T if it is a UK phone then only by o2 UK

So jailbreak it or enjoy your expensive doorstop

And it will not destroy it.

you will not be able to use the turbosim unless you jailbreak it first.

hackthatphone.com or iclarified or Hackint0sh all have good guides

@ iPhoneUser it says on their homepage that they cant ship till jan 18th

looks like your caught up in the backlog mate
    Latest News
Due to the huge popularity of Stealth SIMS we currently will not be ale to ship anymore orders until 18th January. We will be receiving a very significant number of them on this day and will have no more supply issues after his date. Our online payments are back up and running again but please be aware that any orders between now and the 18th will only be shipped on the 18th.

    Hey Chris

That looks amazing. How do i get it???

(I feel the embarrassment of a newbie that has been lurking for jail-breaking/unlocking info and not pimpin' the thing, which, now that I have one is my new obsession).
