    Clicked on buy to see if there was a price. It went no further than a "website malfunction" statement and then gave me a form for them to contact me. Not a good start.

    Oh it was like that when i ordered mine too. I emailed him via the page on his website and he sent me his paypal details and a zip file containing all the progs and guide to jailbreak the phone. The cost was $85 = €65 at the time.

    What is the model of the belkin

    Are you sure it is a router not a wireless Ethernet adaptor

    Its the belkin f5d7130 => 54g wireless network access point. Is this an ethernet adaptor rather than a router? How do i make my iphone access wifi throught this?

    Can your iphone see your wireless and do you get the connected logo

    If yes then try

    On the iphone go to settings then wifi then select your network probably called Belkin then select static then put these in the various fields

    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 85.134.188.223
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.192.0
    Router. . . . . . . . . : 85.134.128.1
    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 85.134.255.245

    See if that works

    Yep it can see the wireless and it connects... i get a tick beside it and a full airport signal strength icon. I'll try that ip address and DNS number when i get home this evening. Just in work at the moment. With a bit of luck it'll work!!! Fingers crossed!!! Thanks for all your help!

    Ok just received my stealthsim. Cut my own sim and slipped them both in no problem. Phone is now on meteor. However, when someone rings me the call doesnt come up. Then when the missed call comes up i cant access it. I press the recents button and then it keeps jumping back to the main page. Any ideas?

    I had the exact same problem and iWorld did indeed fix it, but you need to install it from installer with an active wifi connection

    Yeah i know that'll solve the problem but cant get my wifi working. My head is melted at this stage. i dont know whats wrong with the wifi at all. think the problem is with the belkin access point. there''s no password anything so it should be easy... according to the phone i'm connected to the wifi but when i open safari it says it cannot find the server. Frustrated to say the least! >:(

    moorele, change your wireless access point for a wireless router. It will cost you €49.99 from argos. It will solve all your problems, both short and long term.

    I am out if it was next to me would be fine but trying to figure out whats going on with your router in my head aint going to well. lol

    BTW for people who have not seen this:

    It has come to my attention that the people responsible for the JMCO source jmwiki.com have intentionally created a malicious source with the sole intention of mucking up people's iPhones.

    This source adds an app in installer that pretends to be an update of erica's utilities. The app appears in installer as 113 prep.

    Once installed all this app does is it says "shoes." When uninstalled this app removes a lot of files from the /bin directory on the iphone, breaking valid apps like sendfile and other erica utilities.

    ModMyiFone recommends that you DO NOT install 113 prep. We further recommend that you abandon the use of the JMCO source and remove it from your installer app.

    It is a shame to see that people in our community are set on causing problems for others, their actions are not admirable.

    Help us get out the word to everyone as quickly as possible and Digg This

    Edit: You might note that when I say your bin directory i of course am talking about var/root/bin/ --- Also this source is installed when you instal the Blaze Source.

    Will be updating a list of things this messes up

    * Erica's Utilities
    * OpenSSH
    * Launcher
    * Doom

    Update:

    After STE (most of the .xml was taken directly from STE packaging but used in a malicious manner) called the number listed on the domain registration it turns out the person who is responsible is actually an 11 year old. STE has talked to his father and has been assured that the site will be removed tonight.

    Update #2:

    The Site hosting the malicious source has been taken down.

    Update #3:

    Symantec has listed this as the first sighting of a malicious iPhone attempt.

    had my first full day back at college with this baby today (a full 2hr 20mins travelling)

    and it didn't skip a beat once.

    only two small problems.

    1. no stealthsim, so had to carry my iphone and my k800i god my k800i is bulky and ugly

    2. i didn't have a headphone jack extender so going from €150 shure earphones to crappy 10c apple earphones was a nightmere; is it just me or are they terribly uncomfortable? i had an older pair about two years ago and whilst they were still **** quality you could at least keep them in your ears for 20 minutes.

    actually while i'm on the topic of headphone jack extender, what happens if you're using your own earphones/headphones and a call comes through whilst you're listening to music, does the music fade down to the ringing tone? also when you are taking the call you'll obviously disconnect the earphones so what happens when the call is ended? does the ipod play straight away?

    Vodafone and O2 SIM cards are dual mode in that they fun as 2G SIMs and 3G USIMS so they will work fine in the iPhone

    The operator 3 ships single mode 3G USIM only and as such these will not work in any non 3G phone

    Ok, I've been reading a load of pages and just want some clarity.
    If I get a US iPhone this week i can:

    1. Jail break it
    2. Get iPhone Sim Freer

    Then I have a fully functional iPhone??...

    I was actualy in the states a wee while ago and I thought 1.1.2 couldn't be unlocked so I got an iTouch instead :o
