I found this great sign stuck to a wall on the way home from the pub one night "Kildare Street D2" , it was just sitting there, so I brought it home.

And one night I found a sign stuck on a wall "Bridewell Garda Station". Someone must be loosing these. Very strange !!!

Found £70 when I was about 9 when I was in a supermarket with my ma. When we went up to pay for our items I saw an old man at one of the checkouts. He went to pay for the goods, put his hand in his pocket & couldn't find any money. He searched & searched, looked around the floor etc for his money. I felt so sorry for him that I went up & asked him if he was ok (V mature for a 9 year old, don't you think ;) ) He said he'd lost his money, I asked him how much did he lose & he thought & then said £70. I told him I found it down one of the isles & I gave it to him.
He tried to give me £20 back as a thankyou, the relief in his face & the gratitude in his eyes was something else.
I didn't even take the £20, I told him it was his money, not mine.
All the nice things he said about me, it still to this day is one of the nicest feelings I've ever felt, much better than how I'd have felt spending the money, (tho fun it would have been!!!)

I found €235.00 in one year.
    All of it was seperate.

So you found 23,500 1 cent pieces, all in separate incidents?

That's nearly three cent an hour! (on a leap year, of course, to allow maximum time)

I recently found something from years ago...It must have been my 6th birthday or something. I remember my mom wouldn't ever let me open this, because I already had a pencil case.

Anyways, it is a 1991 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Stationary Pack, which has never been opened (from dunnes, 99p)

Gnarly. None of this crap new turtle crap for me.

Quality. Must go look for it again.

Someone bump this thread in 2009 to remind me.

i found 150 quid on the road a few weeks back, it couldnt ave come at a better time as i'm a poor student who only gets paid by work every 4 weeks.

A few years back my bike broke down leaving me to hitch home late at night. Got a lift as far as kilcullen and couldn't get another lift. It was lashing rain and I decided to shelter in a roadworkers hut at side of road, it was locked but I discovered all I had to do was lift it up and crawl underneath. Inside I found a gas ring, sausages, rashers and eggs. Good thing I woke early, Those road workers would probably have kicked the sh1t out of me.
